"Location was great! It was close enough to walk up town, so we didn't have to worry about finding a parking place. We enjoyed sitting on the private deck listening to the river. Though no fault of the management, we had some very loud neighbors that kept us awake until very late and woke us up very early. It was a quaint little lodge and we will be back!"

"Room was clean, but we found a hair in the bed, so could be a little cleaner. Bathroom was spotless and beautiful! Terry, the woman at the front, was wonderful to talk to and very understanding to us getting in late on check in. We ended up checking out a little late and they had no problem with it too. Overall, a great stay and will be comjng back in the summer! "

"I had high hopes for this stay, but unfortunately it did not meet expectations. The front desk staff was very nice and quick, which I appreciated, but the room itself was not clean. The towels were stained and had visible dirt/marks on them that made me uncomfortable using them. The bed sheets and bed cover had hair, stains, and some holes. The room was very dusty, and there was old food residue under the desk. Overall, the cleanliness was very disappointing and made the stay uncomfortable. I...

"Great location and amenities. Loved the cafe/bar and snacks and toiletries provided. Black Mountain was great for local shopping and restaurants. We stayed in the attic with 2 bedrooms and it was a beautiful big space. The only suggested improvement is more comfortable couch and mattress. Would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel was undergoing renovations. Not the best appearance. Nonetheless, the floor we were assigned was fully renovated. (3rd floor) Rooms were perfect and new. Very clean. Only inconvenience, they smelled like fresh paint. "
