"To call this hotel a 4 star hotel is a disgrace to actual 4 star hotels; it is maybe 3 stars in its best days, more realistically 2 stars. The amenities themselves are dated, and there is no dependable electric. I had to have the maintenance team come to my room 3+ times to reset the electric for the AC, water heater, etc, before finally just giving up and surrendering to the heat. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere in Paje, there are much nicer properties to choose from. I’m convinced the other reviews on here are fake because they in no way reflect my experience there. "

"The property itself is very nice and well kept. The staff were also great! The pool is nice but a little deep at 1.4m but I’m just short. They do need to do a better job of food safety and covering food from flies. If I didn’t make it right at buffet opening, everything was covered in bugs! Also it wasn’t clear enough that this was a no alcohol resort when booking (I don’t drink that much anyways) and I understand it’s Ramadan but other resorts still had activities and entertainment, this one was SILENT. "

"Very nice villas. Friendly staff. Facilities Nice and Calm atmosphere. Low tides dominated the day time but we know this before coming. Two of us Got sick from ice cream with travellers diarréa as a consequece, staff shoul have better hygiene routines."

"Our stay was great,their food was great but the drinks were not the best.They didn’t know how to make Margaritas,and Pina Coladas.Manager was great but incurred some extra cost when we arrived at the facility and some didn’t make sense.There massage parlor was good but overpriced.lastly they turn off water and WiFi on the day of check out at midnight even before you leave which was the craziest thing I have ever seen!!"

"The staff were fantastice. Unfortunately we cannot rate this resort better because the pool was unusable. The large adult pool was being used by a child who pooped in it everyday. We brought it to the attention of the owner who assured us they would address it. The next day the child again pooped in the adult pool. Upon check out, we watched the dad, mom and child trying to remove the poop from the adult pool for the third day in a row. We came to the conclusion that this was a daily occurence. And therefore we could not use the pool. I would suggest a sign stating adult only. And please enforce the rule! It ruined our stay at this resort. There was a kids pool there. Just unfortunate that this child was using the adult pool as his toilet. At least a childs pool would be easier to clean. This family was a long stay. So we witnessed it happen each day. It would be happening for another two weeks. "

Many common complaints can be avoided by reading details planning ahead, and communicating clearly. I believe in forming my own experience —and I’m so glad I did. My experience was a 10,000/10. The staff and service were exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was professional, patient, and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. Juma, the Front Office Manager, arranged my round-trip airport transfer with Emanuel who shared local history along the way. Juma clearly explained my package and handled a small misunderstanding on my end with patience and helpful solutions. Consolata, the receptionist, welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home immediately. I arrived early, and she personally showed me around the property while sharing its history, which I truly appreciated. Ramso, my butler, was outstanding—attentive, calm, and genuinely caring. When I had a room issue (my mistake), he went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, moving me to a room that exceeded expectations. I would absolutely request him again! Chef Mohammed delivered excellent meals from breakfast to dinner. The food was fresh, authentic, healthy, and flavorful, and his passion truly shows. Overall, I loved the scenery, privacy, cleanliness, safety, and peaceful atmosphere. Fruit & Spice is perfect for relaxation and exceptional service. I highly recommend this resort. — LissaKayy "
