"This is a wonderful place to stay in Busselton: close to the beach, jetty, great eating choices, shopping centre and easy walks.
The staff are really some of the best I have encountered in many years of experiencing hotel stays. They are efficient, helpful, friendly and 'go the extra mile'.
The lobby area and bar are very good, the pool looked delightful, with plenty of seating around it, and the restaurant looked pleasant - the meu looked good too (although we took the opportunity to walk to the eating places nearby).
Our room was a good size, with a desk and chair, fridge, comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. There is a full length mirror , plenty of coat hangers and hanging space, and drawer and shelving.
The bathroom was a good size with plenty of ledge space, nice towels and a shower that is easy to use. "
"For those who needs a full kitchen n washing machine, this is the place. Minutes away from Coles n Woolworths and Dan Murphy onsite. Plenty of parking and a restaurant that serves full menu for families. The housekeeping is great, they change the towels n clear the bins daily. This is very important if you have to cook. There are a two things that they may wish to improve on. The cooking utensils ie pots n pans needed to be replaced. The frying pan doesn’t sit flat on the hob. One of the pots was rusty and I had to bring over to the reception to ask for a better one. The receptionist was excellent, she brought two over to our apartment within the hour. The other things that needs to be repaired are the bin in the kitchen which can’t open properly when we stepped on the pedal. The clothes drying rack has one bar broken n would be good so that we can hang clothes properly. Overall, I would still recommend this accommodation n would stay here again."
"I was a little disappointed with my stay at Southcamp, especially as the many positive reviews were what initially drew me in. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance weren't up to standard expectations. There was sand throughout the shower from a previous guest, some cutlery still had dried food on it, and the curtain was partially off its rail despite requesting it be fixed twice. The bath towels were also quite worn, with some thin, bare patches. For the price I paid, I didn’t feel the experience reflected good value.
That said, there were definitely some positives. Jackie was incredibly lovely and helpful, and all the staff I interacted with were friendly. The bed was sooo comfortable, and the tiny home itself was cosy and well set up. The location is great with an easy walk to the beach, and I really enjoyed being able to use the complimentary e-bikes to explore the area.
Overall, while there were aspects I enjoyed, I probably wouldn’t stay again unless there was a special deal available."
