La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Downtown Asheville
10/10 Excellent
"I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Asheville Downtown and paid $139/night, which I felt was a good value for everything included. The hotel was clean, modern, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds. The bathroom was updated and everything was well maintained.
The free hot breakfast was a nice bonus and had plenty of options to start the day. I also appreciated having access to the fitness center and laundry room—the large washers were only $2.50 per load, which was very convenient during my trip. The lobby also had snacks and drinks available for purchase if you needed something quick. These amenities are offered by the hotel and were useful during my stay.
The only downside was that the hot tub wasn’t working during my visit, which was disappointing since I was looking forward to relaxing after a long day. Other than that, everything else met my expectations.
Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a clean, comfortable hotel with great amenities and a reasonable price, especially if you’re visiting Asheville and want a good value."
"The Lantern Lodge was the perfect accommodation for my husband and I. Our road trip (over 3,000 miles) was coming to an end with Ashville our last stop before heading home to southern Georgia! Several things drew my attention to the “lodge”! We were looking for more than a hotel room, the nightly room charge was better than 90% of most hotels that we are loyal to, we wanted to stay in Ashville, and my maiden name is Lanter! We arrived about 45 minutes before check in. Waze got us to the check in location but it is poorly marked. The check in is at the restaurant that is currently closed. Pretty confusing, and could be better marked as the actual checkin location. Our room was not ready and that was okay with us. The young man that checked us in was very professional but certainly did not give off any warm fuzzy energy! When we went back to check in around 5:00, the woman that checked me in was also very professional but seemed in the edge of being put out! She did give good directions to our unit and It only got much better as we found our condo, located a luggage cart, loaded it and found our unit. I read good reviews and not so good (hard mattresses, outdated, not close to the pool) but we found our condo to be perfect for us! Although lacking a few amenities, staying for one night it was just fine! The mattress and pillows were heavenly, the bathroom excellently, technology for phones and television great, appreciated the washer/dryer very much! I highly recommend!"
"Great location to explore Asheville the mountains. Easy to get in and out of in your car since it's on the edge of downtown. Location is very walkable to downtown and the beautiful Montford neighborhood."

"Beautiful and unique property with excellent service and amenities. We were greeted with complimentary champagne, enjoyed our room, ate on site, ordered room service, and used the valet, as well as booked spa services. Highly recommend!"
"I have stayed here a few times because we visit Savannah a lot. I love how clean and modern this place is. Really like this place. Excellent coffee in the morning. The only drawback is that you pretty much have to valet park. Can’t really street park in this area."
