"A good hotel, currently under going a refurbishment which is most needed as its dated. Only problem for us was the pillows they was on the hard side."
"A great location for ease of walking around the city. Very quirky building and parking was great at the back. B’fast was a good choice and served well.
My only word of caution is that the rooms are supremely hot in this weather and if you are at the front then traffic noise is tremendous. Fans provided but circulated hot air. Lovely bed and pillows. Room on the small side but ok for us as only one night."
"This hotel was just as excellent this time around as it was last time we stayed here. It was sold out while we were here as the Charles Dickens festival was going on. One thing to be advised with this hotel is that there are no lifts as it it is an older hotel and is grade II listed so there is no requirement for it to do so. That being said it does have three floors of rooms with about half facing directly to the ocean which means you could have a little or a lot of stairs to contend with. So if you have a disabilty that does not allow for stairs be conscious of that when booking. My partner had a heart condition and it did not occur to me to ask for a room on a lower floor at the time of booking (that was on me) so the first night we ended up on the top floor. A room which I have to say was absolutely lovely if it weren't for all the stairs you had to climb! The view of the town was beautiful from up there though. They were extremely kind and were able to partially accomodate us on the second night and move us to a second floor room which I am grateful for as the climb was not as strenuous. Nice pub and restaruant and sensational outside seating to watch the beach and sea. Breakfast is delicous and piping hot and well presented with a nice continental for those not wanting a hot breakfast. And being centrally located in Broadstairs it made it really easy to visit the town. About a 20mins walk downhill from the station or you can take a bus called the 'Loop' part way down"
"The English breakfast was good. We stayed at the Flint House. The room was sufficiently large and the bed comfortable. Had issues with the temperature in the room. Asked for the advertised space heater and was told they were all dispersed and none available. Also the water pressure to the toilet was very weak. However, even with these issues the stay was pleasant enough."
"Modern property, clean, and extremely convenient for access to Central Canterbury. Staff were particularly helpful and professional, 24 hour bar with some food. Excellent breakfast. Parking is located a 5 minute walk away as the hotel is a pedestrian area. Good local restaurants and tea shops are a short walk."
