"A nice quite pub, tucked away in the countryside offering a relaxed evening meal and drink after a hard days work. Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable."

"Really accommodating host.
We needed an early check in and this was sorted for us no problem.
Clean room. Comfy bed. Good shower.
Although no-one manned the reception, the host was easy to get hold of and made the stay easy as pie.
Thank you very much"

"The hotel is a beautiful space, although a little tired, for those who are disabled there is a mini lift to the hotel, so you don’t need to to do the steps. The room I had was spacious and very important an excellent mattress and pillows. Not far from city centre, easy walk, also great bars and pubs. Staff are fabulous. I will definitely stay again, preferred to premier inn."
"I stayed at the Marriott Cardiff for 1 night. The main reasons for choosing this hotel were location close to city centre and car parking. It turned out to be an excellent choice and I will stay there again when I next visit Cardiff. I did not use the restaurant but it looked great."
"As a seasoned traveller who stays in 20 to 30 hotels a year, I know the Clayton brand well from stays in Manchester, Bristol and London.
My requirements are simple: a comfortable bed, a decent shower and a good breakfast.
The “Deluxe Double” bed felt small, measuring 4ft 4in on a 4ft 6in base. The bathroom has a fixed shower head over a bath with a shower curtain rather than a modern walk-in shower. The Executive rooms appear to offer the same setup.
Breakfast was acceptable, but poor by modern hotel standards. The bread beside the toaster was partially frozen, the fruit selection was limited, and the continental offering consisted of a few slices of salami and cubes of cheese. There was no fresh loaf to slice yourself and no proper cheese or cold meat selection.
The location is excellent, and the hotel serves its purpose if you simply need somewhere to sleep. However, compared with other Clayton hotels I’ve stayed in across the UK, it falls short of the standard I’ve come to expect from the brand."
"On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The food really and staff were very nice. The decor was a little dated and the room smelt a little musty, which wasnt really a problem. I was looking forward to having a bath after a 200 mile drive. Unfortunately there were black spots around the corners of the silicon on the edge of the bath. Then I turned the taps on I went back to the bath to check on it and there were things floating in the bath. I emptied it a tried again. I did this 4 times. Every time there was stuff coming out of the taps. When I brought it to the hotels attention. Is all they said was that there was repairs going on in the street and it could of been that. This happened the following evening too. As regards the matter the hotel staff were not very helpful but they were polite. When your paying for a suite I would have thought that they would of been able to help us a bit more. I ended up washing in the sink.
The breakfast was very nice. I would consider staying there again. Please dont take this review as all bad. Everything else about the hotel was very nice as were the staff. It was just that they wasnt helpful with one issue. If I was staying there longer than 2 nights I would have asked for another room."
"We recently stayed here and I booked the Presidental Suite for one night The suite was very spacious and clean. The Decor was amazing.
The staff were friendly and very approachable and always happy to help.
We went down to breakfast between 8-8.30 and the restaurant was practically empty which is great. The breakfast was nice with not a vast selection but more than enough.
We did miss fried eggs, though.
The only downfall was the parking as this hotel doesn't have any. But it does offer a discounted stay at Q-Park which is situated behind the Premier Inn and around a 5-10 minute work. (Depending on the person)
Overall - it is an amazing place to stay with lots of history and character. I would definitely return."
"The room was clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable, but the room was small and not very manouverable. Front desk staff were very helpful in organizing a taxi to the airport in the morning."
