Was fairly easy to find, conveniently located if you are going to the Christmas Market int he Ravine. Although the email said we had to collect the key from the safe due to late check in, there was someone at the reception who not only checked us in but walked us to the room & showed us around. Room itself was clean, cosy & warm. added bonus was there is ZERO light pollution so the night ky was amazing!

Very friendly property owner. We arrived late but we still could have dinner even though the kitchen was almost closing up. Beds were a bit squeeky unfortunatly. But overall a great quiet place to stay for a few days and explore the surroundings. Parking right at the entrance.

Parfait point de départ pour les randonnées. L'accueil est très sympathique et bienveillant envers les étrangers qui ne parlent pas la langue. La présence des animaux (chevaux, lapins) est un pur bonheur. La literie est top et la propreté irréprochable. Nous n'avons pas eu l'occasion de tester les repas. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir pour un plus long séjour.

Nicht überzeugt

Auf der Buchungsseite stand check in bis 21.00 Uhr. Im Bestätigungsmail steht dann, check in bis 18.00 Uhr und sonst muss man bis 17.00 Uhr anrufen. Wir haben angerufen und gesagt wir kommen später. Der Herr am Telefon war sehr unfreundlich und wollte genau wissen, wann wir kommen und was wir noch vorhaben. Als wir sagten wir gehen noch Essen, meinte er schrof, sie hätten auch Abendessen und wir müssen spätestens um 20.00 Uhr da sein. Als wir dann angekommen waren, mussten wir lange warten bis wir den Schlüssel bekommen. Es gab ein grosses Dachfenster ohne Verdunklungsmöglichkeit über dem Kinderbett. Auf Nachfrage meinte die Person, sie komme in einer Stunde. Da wir nicht warten wollten, da es Zeit zum Schlafen war, gab er uns ein Bettanzug und meinte wir sollen es selber montieren. Das Verdunkel klappte damit natürlich nur mässig und die Kids konnten Abends nicht recht einschlafen und waren natürlich auch Morgens früh wach. Wir hörten vom Gang her jeden Gast die Treppe hoch und runter gehen. Zudem auch die Gartenwirtschaft und das Restaurant das direkt unter dem Zimmer lag. Die Dusche war sehr klein und man konnte die Brause nirgends befestigen. Das WLan war instabil und zeitweise ohne Internet. Beim Gehen wurden wir nochmals gefragt ob wir kein Frühstück möchten. Wir haben dies verneint und wurden dann gefragt warum nicht. Wir kamen uns sehr unerwünscht vor und mussten uns für unserer Entscheidungen rechtfertigen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und zweckmässig.

die alte Möbel und die Einrichtung im Zimmer hat uns gar nicht gefallen für diesen Preis, es war ehe sauber aber unbequem zu sehen . für diesen Preis haben wir mehr erwartet.

Hotel avec une ambiance tres rustique ayant besoin d etre rafraichi. La decoration est vieillotte et la chambre petite et sous rampant (contient un grand lit de 180 de largeur, une armoire, une table avec television et un petit canape). A peine la place de circuler entre les trop nombreux meubles. En revanche le petit dejeuner est tres copieux pour 12 euros.

Uriges Schwarzwaldhaus

Das Hotel & Restaurant Mühlencafé ist ein taditionelles Schwarzwaldhaus. Urig und rustikal eingerichtet. Das gilt auch für die Zimmer. Sie sind sauber allerdings im Stil vor 30 Jahren. Geräte wie der Föhn sind vergilbt der Fernseher ist mit geschätzt 34 Zoll eher klein. Das Personal ist freundlich. Checkin/out ging sehr flott und ohne Probleme. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und die Essensqualität sehr gut.

Der Besitzer ist immer freundlich und hilfsbereit sowie das Personal. Auf der Anlage befinden sich viele Tiere was für Kinder sehr schön ist.

Kurztrip in den Schnee

Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage in und um Breitnau. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig und schön gelegen und das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem hatten wir eine tolle Zeit und werden sicher wieder im Mühlencafe zu Gast sein.

Excellent!

The hotel is situated in a beautiful country setting not far from a Cuckoo Clock Museum. Excellent breakfast! Our gracious host was also a Master Chef. He gave great advice about where to go for wine tasting. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a train for the kids and play structures. There are plenty of hiking trails near the hotel as well. I would definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend this place to my friends.

Sehr gemütliches Hotel/Restaurant in ruhiger Lage. Ideal für Familien. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker mit Brötchen aus der nebenan selbst betriebenen Bäckerei. Ganztags ist auch die Gaststätte geöffnet. Das Essensangebot ist übersichtlich, preislich etwas teurer dafür aber sehr schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Das Familienzimmer war ausreichend groß für 4 Personen sehr komfortabel. Leider war dieser Raum ohne Balkon. Es gibt fussläufig entfernt einen Skilift, der bei ausreichend Schnee in Betrieb genommen wird. Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden mit der Unterkunft und Lage und werden bestimmt wieder kommen.
