"We loved our stay here. Except they could not get the fire going in our room and it was 45f and we froze. The other room heat kicked on and they were fine. If in the winter and staying in the family lodge make sure you have heat. Never expected to be cold in Africa! The animal safari was fun. Meals and views were great. Even had elephants walk by while we were enjoying breakfast! Would go back and stay for longer."

It is a beautiful, peaceful place with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and the perfect base from which to explore Tulbagh and the surrounding valley. The accommodation was comfortable, welcoming and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and generous โ definitely enough to keep you going for most of the day! What really stood out was the warm hospitality and the feeling of being able to simply slow down, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We had such a lovely few days here and would happily return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable stay in Tulbagh."

"A lovely place, but rather hard to find. Only one small signpost if you happened to be on the right road, and then nothing at the actual entrance to the farm. Very peaceful with gorgeous views over the valley. Delicious breakfast, served earlier than usual on our request by extremely friendly staff. We were upgraded from the room I booked, as we were the only guests that night."

"Was not quite what I expected. Located literally in a mountain pass with traffic driving past. The room doesnt have a fridge. It has a cooler but what good is that if you want to pack some items of your own to stay properly cold. You are given a kitchen sink in your room. A microwave would also be a good option. For what you pay to stay, it is not worth it. The restaurant has a limited menu. The location is remote and far from any shops. There is a Spar in Citrusdal, a 10 minute drive away. We stayed almost a week. Asked housekeeping to change our pillow cases once. They did not do this. This was the only request from housekeeping. The Spa is excellent and privately owned. That made up for the disappointment in the hotel."
