Hotels near Breakheart Reservation

"We requested adjoining rooms and they were able to accommodate us there. Seems the hotel only has one luggage cart for the whole place so we had to lug 6 people’s things in and up. Inconvenient but oh well. Upon walking into our room, the light in one room (235) didn’t work, the handle on one side of the doors between the rooms was broken and nearly falling off(233), and the AC/heat unit under the window in one room had no knobs and no way to turn it on(233). The heat couldn’t be controlled by the thermostat because the batteries were dead. I was going to take the batteries out of ours— but alas, there weren’t ANY in our thermostat(235). I did call down to the front desk who were able to give us batteries for the thermostat which did get the unit up and running. There were no towels at the pool, so we asked the front desk who told us they were COMPLETELY out of towels. Our three kids walked back from the pool soaking wet because there really wasn’t another option— the towels I brought down from our room for them another guest grabbed on accident. The rooms were clean, and the pillows were nice. But the shower takes awhile to heat up and makes an awful squeaking noise when you turn it on. "

"Unfortunately, when I booked this hotel, I was not notified that they were under construction until almost a week later. In addition to that, we were assured that the construction would not interrupt our stay. Not only did we not have access to the amenities that were the reason we booked the hotel, but we also did not have access to a decent breakfast in the morning. The noise, the dust from construction as well as the lack of pool and breakfast were a major issue. The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic and they were super kind. However, my keys did not work for my room so we had to switch rooms and that was additionally inconvenient. While I don’t blame the manager that was on duty at the front desk and the staff that helped us because they were polite, this was definitely not to say that I was hoping for. "

"I’ve been here for several weeks due to a sudden change in living situations.. several thousands spent already.. They are very nice people here.. but they refuse to negotiate the best deal or beat the 3rd party online hotel sites.. Makes for a very unhappy guest!"

"Breakfast is very good snd fresh and on time. I would suggest to have somw sort of eggs. I found out there are no eggs when i checked in and asked anout breakfast choices. But every morning people were asking for them. Sausage without eggs ua a bit strange. "
