An overnight stop on way to Switzerland. A very warm hotel and welcome by staff. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast the next day. A very spacious room with a view of the lake.

- Lage inmitten der Weinberge toll! - Obwohl in meiner Buchung ausdrücklich Zimmer mit Seesicht versprochen wurde,erhielten wir nur Zimmer nach der Seite gelegen!(trotz Reklamation!) - Schlafen mit offenem Fenster unmöglich: Küchen- ventilator direkt vor Fenster! & Bahnlärm erheblich! - Ganzes Gebäude recht "abgewohnt". - Fazit: Preise für Zimmer und vor allem für Abendessen viel zu hoch!! - Frühstück war hingegen in Ordnung

Gutes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück, sehr gutes Restaurant Freundliche Gastgeber. Der Bahnhof daneben "stört" bei geschlossenem Fenster kauf.

위치 좋은 호텔

객실은 안락하고 깨끗했지만, 그렇게 넓지는 않았습니다. 아래층에 식당을 함께 운영하고 있어서 저녁에는 음식 냄새가 좀 올라와서 불편함이 조금 있었습니다. 또 엘리베이터가 없어서 캐리어를 가지고 방까지 가는데 좀 힘들었어요. 하지만 직원분들은 매우 친절했고, 아래층 직당은 미슐랭 마크가 있는 곳이라 저녁에 한끼 정도 식사를 하는 것도 좋습니다. 식당 손님이 많은 편이고 음식 맛도 좋습니다. 아, 기차역이 바로 옆이라 소리에 예민하신 분은 비추 입니다. 창문을 닫으니 큰 소리는 별로 나지 않았습니다.

Kleines Refugium in den Weinbergen

Perfektes kleines Hotel mit wenigen, sehr gemütlichen, mit Geschmack eingerichteten Zimmern und offenbar sehr guter Küche. (Konnte ich leider nicht testen, da das Restaurant am Montag geschlossen ist.) Sehr freundlicher und persönlicher Service; kleines, aber gutes Frühstücksbüfett, Einziger Vorbehalt: Die Eisenbahnzüge fahren unmittelbar vor dem Hotel durch.

Jolie chambre mais demander une chambre avec vue !

Déco de la chambre très jolie. Literie confortable et salle de bain agréable avec une baignoire. Un peu cher, d'autant plus que notre chambre n'avait pas la vue sur le lac, mais sur le poulailler et même si les poules sont superbes, la vue aurait pu justifier le prix élevé. Il n'y a pas de mini bar et impossible d'avoir de l'eau fraîche au robinet de la salle de bain, donc si vous voulez boire de l'eau mieux vaut amener sa bouteille, qui sera un peu moins chaude ! Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et les petits déjeuners excellents! car il n'y a pas de réfrigérateur et impossible d'avoir de l'eau fraîche au robinet de la salle de bain.

Lovely hotel in peaceful, tranquil area with spect

Lovely, small hotel in peaceful, tranquil area with spectacular views. A little out of the city but only 9 minutes by train (twice an hour and free with hotel pass) to Lausanne. The hosts are very welcoming and the restaurant is superb. It was the perfect tonic to an overly hectic schedule and we enjoyed every minute.

Excellent stay in proximity to Lavaux vineyards

Very comfortable and well equipped bedroom - I had what amounted to a vill in the gardens. Very welcoming staff. As it was a monday, the hotel was closed, but the manager very kindly knocked me up a salad and cold meats when I had found difficulty in finding somewhere else to eat locally. Very nice breakfast. Personally, I didn't find the fairly quiet adjacent rail line a problem at all - yes the line interrupted the view from the hotel, but the proximity to Grandvaux station was a real benefit to me - with regular trains to Lausanne.

Lovely setting,with views to die for

We spent a truly relaxing weekend based at l'Auberge de la Gare, having travelled by rail from Geneva via Lausanne; the Auberge is a stone's throw from the station yet not disturbed by passing trains at all. The views are mesmerising, the auberge charming and homely yet with all modern comforts; it's popular with locals, who call in for a drink or a snack, and I imagine that a meal or drink in the sun on the terrace would be sheer heaven after a busy day.

A nice little place with amazing views

This hotel is a gem for people who travels with a car and doesn't need a lot of help from the hotel staff. It is nicely located in the middle vineyards and the view is amazing (I saw beautiful rainbows over the mountains and the lake right from my hotel room). The room itself is spacious and comfortable. But there are a few things I would like the bring up for references. First of all it isn't the easiest thing to find the hotel even with a GPS. My GPS gave me wrong directions and also the roads are extremely narrow (sometimes single lane for traffic from both directions). Also I don't know if I should call it a hotel because it only has two guest rooms(?) and there isn't any front desk or designated staff for hotel. Every time I got questions I had to go downstairs to the restaurant and ask the servers there. On Sundays the restaurant is closed so you are pretty much on your own. For me I don't mind it that much and I would go back if I visit the area again.

In the middle of the vineyards

What a lovely unique hotel. Everyone was terrific. Our room was in the back separate from the main building which has maybe 4 rooms. It felt very French and country. The restaurant was also great. We ate there 2 nights. The train may be an issue, but it was not for us. We found it convenient to hop on the train. You are surrounded by vineyards and have a fabulous view of Lake Geneva. What more could you want?

Hidden treasure in a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

Fantastic views of Lake Geneva and local vineyards covering the hills. The owner is the Chef in the restaurant and the food is superb! There are only a few rooms and reservations are necessary for both the Hotel and Restaurant. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we hated to leave!

Presque une chambre d'hôte

Petit hotel dans une maison ancienne complètement rénovée dans un petit village à Proximité de Lausanne. Atmosphère familliale : On se sent comme dans une masion d'hôtes. Accueil souriant et prévenant. Chambre spacieuse, confortable et très soigneusement décorée (salle de douche idem). Très bon petit déjeuner. Terrasse avec superbe vue sur le vignoble de Lavaux et le Lac Léman pour les beaux jours (je n'ai pas testé le resto mais il était bien rempli par une clientèle locale toute la semaine, c'est bon signe!) Attention tout de même, n'est pas Auberge de la Gare pour rien. Un train régional passe, à faible fréquence (~2 par heure), pas pendant la nuit (minuit - 06:00) à proximité immédiate de l'hotel. Pas très gènant à mon sens mais pas idéal pour les grasses matinées ou les personnes recherchant un calme absolu. Village situé à quelques minutes de Lausanne ou de Vevey en voiture (ou en train). Nombreux producteur de vin dans le village.

A great place to stay!

This was a very charming spot in the middle of the vineyards with pluses such as easy free parking, free wifi, a great restaurant, and personnel that were very helpful. I just came from a $500 per night hotel and the experience at this hotel was ever bit as good if not better.
