"River View Lodge is an excellent accommodation to base yourself whilst in the Chobe National Park. The owner Sofia and her excellent staff make you feel at home . Friendly and kind. Enjoyed the Game Drive and The River Cruise."

"I was in Gabs for a week for work, and I was pleasantly surprised by Avani. Room was comfortable and quiet, there were multiple restaurants and a coffee shop on site, and the gym was pretty big with multiple machines, treadmills, weights, etc. Pool looked nice but I didn’t have a chance to use it on this trip, though the seating around it was really nice for grabbing a bite to eat while finishing work. And the spa is amazing! Great massage there. I will be back!"

"The hotel is not in town, you can’t really walk anywhere. Breakfast was good but not included with room. Airport shuttle was very convenient and accommodating "

"Slightly confusing entrance as the hotel is currently under renovation, and fewer rooms were available with the construction works (we were told it will be fully open at the start of May). However the restaurant and small pool were both open. The location is outside the main town but it was nice to feel away from that. The garden rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. The staff were fantastic; helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Dinner was delicious, I highly recommend the fillet steak with mushroom sauce! I’d definitely come back here if I were ever in Maun again, especially after the renovation. "
