"The hotel has only been open for 3 weeks, which is probably 6 weeks too soon!! The room was not finished - locks missing on bathroom door (just a hole waiting for the lock); no curtains or blind in the lounge area - the hot sun blazed in throughout the day and neighbouring rooms could see in, and finally, no air conditioning - the control panels are there, but not connected to anything. I REPEAT ... NO AIR CONDITIONING. The day was very sunny and very hot and the room could not be cooled down...

"Location was perfect, right in middle of city centre, hotel lovely & clean, great staff, breakfast was sufficient, attentive staff kept things flowing at busy periods, nice choice for cold & hot products. Plenty coffee machines, so no queuing for hot drinks. The only negative for us was the air conditioning in our room had a fault & stopped working for our 2&3rd night, however the staff were great offering another room ( if available) or fans, we just opted for a fan, even although temperatures were 32degrees. These things happen, not a black mark against any of the hotel team. Would defo recommend, and we would happily stay here again."

"Rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant/bar area was well designed and comfortable. The outside area was a pleasant place to have an evening drink. Breakfast was good. A lovely range of food. The coffee machines were a bit of an issue as only was working. Maybe a hot water dispenser for tea drinkers would have helped keep queue shorter. Staff were extremely friendly and the wi-fi was reliable and easy to connect to. The location of the hotel was great. It was just around the corner from river pubs and about a ten minute walk to the Minster."

"Large bedroom clean comfortable, Bathroom clean shower abit dated but worked fine.. The price was great and we will go again …. Food good not a vast amount on the menu,but pizza available instead if wanted about 5 starters 5 puddings… Staff very helpful The corridors were bright and turn on as you went down them..wall looked freshly painted and not tired and dated… Set in lovely well managed grounds ,no litter about and very quiet to sit in gardens Very good and drink wine"

"Nice clean room, nicely decorated and lovely bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly and made sure my parking was sorted and I had everything I needed for my stay. The bar was nice and well priced but I didn't have any food myself but I heard it was nice. I would stay there again definitely"
