"The staff is tremendous. The front desk staff went absolutely above and beyond. I can't remember her name but my Folio says it was "swills". I hope she gets this message as she was amazing. The rooms are very modern, the hotel has a very retro beachy vibe, and the restaurant is among the best in Parksville. Try the Fisherman's Chowder. Unreal. "

"Nice hotel. Staff very nice. Room was clean. Area was quiet & on a big lake. I gad my dog with me. They gave me a ground floor room with a sliding door out to the back where the lake is. Lots of good grass area for my dog to investigate. There was breakfast in the morning but I didn't go. It’s a bit weird that they charge for parking even though the parking is right in front of your room main door & on property. All in all a decent place to stay."

"Obviously this is not a resort where you sit around by the pool but if you are arriving late off the ferry nothing beats this no nonsense hotel. Super clean and beds super comfortable. Small rooms but for the money it can not be beat. I have now made this my go to rest spot when I take the late ferry to the island and not wanting to drive into the night "
