"The room was clean and beds were very comfortable! A/C & Heat both worked great and we were pleased with TV options! The outside of the property looks like it could use some TLC in areas around the pond and boards on the exterior need some attention. Overall a great, reasonably priced place to stay! Very convenient to everything in Blowing Rock and Boone / ASU campus is just a few min. away!"

"There was a delay at the time of check in when we arrived well after the 4pm check in time. Chetola Lodge immediately offered a $50 gift card for use on property as apology for our delay in getting into the property we had reserved. That was classy and appreciated. But in the process of trying to get the condo ready - the check in packet was not reviewed and we did not realize we had an instruction card for the unit’s WiFi so it took a couple of calls to the front desk, first one no one answered or called back regarding voice mail left and second one solved the issue when the staff person told us where to look for WiFi log on information. Problem solved. The grounds are beautiful and the condo unit very nice. Be aware - no on property restaurants on Mondays, you will be asked to take out the trash to a centralized collection container, wash all of the dishes used (there is a dishwasher), reset thermostats, turn off all lights/fans, etc and be sure no food left in cabinets or refrigerators. The property does not recycle. I had always wanted to stay here over the years. Well, I have done it now but won’t be back. There are plenty of nice hotels in the Boone, Blowing Rock area that are less expensive."
