"We had an issue with adding a payment to a reservation and we were met after hours at the door by the property owner. After finding out that we may not be incredibly comfortable with a shared bathroom, she offered an upstairs private apartment that slept our whole party. Great customer service and very kind lady. We were thankful for her generosity and flexibility! "

"We had a lovely 1 night stay in the studio apartment. Easy to understand check-in instructions & directions were sent a couple days ahead of time. Nice clean studio apartment with small kitchen & bathroom, very convenient location near main restaurants in Höfn. Only wish they had left the sofa bed as a sofa, given we were only 2 people. We could not figure out how to close it and would have liked to sit on it. "

"I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It doesn't look like much from outside but the room was great! Very clean, beds are very comfortable, bathroom was really spacious, everything was perfect. They have a very nice kitchen and a very cozy breakfast area with a really great coffee machine. "I had worried a little about the shared bathrooms, but the whole place was super clean. There are 2 bathrooms so no one had to wait. Well equipped for cooking. "

"Parking was full when we arrived. I never see the staff in the front desk so nobody can assist with the parking issue. We just randomly parked in the museum's parking lot which is across the road. The kitchen is spacious and have all the thing we need. It will be great to include the shampoo and body wash in our bathroom. Unfortunately, they didn't."

"Nice property, people, and breakfast!"

"Lodgings in this area are generally expensive so the review is ignoring that aspect. The hotel is old but for most part it doesn’t seem dated. Room interiors were bright and very clean but bathroom can use minor refresh to fittings. Staff was very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was served in a lovely cafeteria , had lots of selections and quite wonderful. "

"We had a great stay at the property. It’s conveniently located on our way to Hofn. Check in was seamless. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. There’s a small kitchen area to cook for dinner and breakfast. "

"This property was wonderful! Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The view from our room of the mountain was fantastic. We could not hear people once everyone was in their rooms, even with some loud snoring from our neighbor. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cutlery. The only small drawback was no working lights or outlets in the bathrooms, but with the sun not setting until midnight, this wasn’t an issue"
