"The place is peaceful and quiet with a serene yard/pool area. The rooms are lovely with seating area and private patio. It is about a mile outside of "town" but feels suburban. I think it's great for a couple or family with a car. As a solo traveler I didn't find it perfect as I was reliable on taxis but that is unique to my needs. The place is lovely."

"Nice place to stay for a night or two"

"Very friendly owners who gave me some ideas on what to see and where to go, very helpful. Nice room, clean and has all you need for an overnight stay. I stayed up stairs with a view of the water. Property just out of town so you would need transport or Uber if you wanted to eat and drink in town. Would stay again, if I was coming back to South Africa."

"Superlative and ultimate calm resting place for those whio need a base in Pleetenberg region, just off N2 en route to Tstiskama. Excellent clean facilities- swimming pool, kitchen, lounge, bbq and of course rooms. The view over the bay is beautiful and has its own private walkway to the lagoon. Its located within a secure enclosed golf course. "Booked to stay here for 2 nights after reading the reviews and we are so glad we did. From the moment we checked in and being greeted in the lounge with a drink and then being escorted to our room was such a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful and we wished we could have just stayed here for the 2 days and relaxed but we had plans in Knysna and Plettenberg. We had dinner in Zinzi and thoroughly enjoyed it and the breakfast was very good. The best thing about Hunters is their staff though. I wish I had made a note of all the names but Golli who greeted us was so lovely as was Ace when we had drinks by the firepit. Our breakfast waitress was amazing too but I did not get her name. We will definitely be back as loved the place. "

Beautiful views and great service.

"Wish we had been able to stay another night as we loved this place so much. It's in such a beautiful spot with spectacular views over the bay. Reception staff were all so friendly and welcoming and we had a fantastic dinner in the on-site restaurant that night with great customer service too. Worth noting, there is a fairly long and steep hill to the shops/cafes/restaurants in the town so if you had mobility issues that may be a problem (unless you were driving)."

Fabulous PLACE to stay

"What a wonderful place this is.We had an apartment 206.Fully equipped with everything we needed.A beautiful view .Lovely views around the bar near the swimming pool.The staff here were excellent,nothing was too much trouble,The restaurant food is excellent and very resonably priced.SISSY IN THE RESTAURANT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND,what a wonder lady she is. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area"
