Staff were excellent, but for the presedential suite the room itself was quite small. The hot tub water was cold 2 out of 3 of the days, but speaking with staff it was fixed for the final night & was lovely & warm. The walls are quite thin so you can hear people moving around in the hallway or entering rooms. The location is good. Good facillties in the room including fridge, hair dryer, iron & ironing board.
The Royal Saint Helene is a charming and cozy boutique hotel in a very central location. It was easy to get to all the main attractions with a quick Bolt ride. The decor is stylish and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Breakfast was a bit limited, but the service made up for it. The young barista who helped us the morning of June 25 was incredibly kind and attentive. Matthieu truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He is the reason for my 5-star rating. We were disappointed that the rooftop pool mentioned on the website was closed for renovation, but overall we had a lovely stay and would return.
Staff were friendly & polite. The hotel room was compact but clean & comfortable but the balcony windows were not double glazed and the road outside was very busy & noisy. The room was very close to other rooms also so was quite noisy at times. The breakfast was very limited and on one morning the restaurant was full with only one member of staff working. We had high hopes for this hotel but left feeling quite disappointed with it compared to what we thought it was going to be. The price we paid was reasonable but based on the photos & reviews our expectations were higher.
I booked the hotel for 2 nights. Birkirkara is probably not the city people would come visit while in Malta, but surely this hotel will attract some. I have been upgraded to try out this not so long opened hotel and i was very much please. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and offering all the needed amenities. For being in malta for business, a gym is a must and that one, small as it may be, has everything. Even speakers :) the staff are very friendly and the breakfast yummy! I have noted a lot of attention to details. Highly recomended.
A really nice find. Clean, modern and stylish in a good location to explore from. Seems to be popular for business travellers and tourists alike. Parking isn’t so easy in side streets and requires driving around a bit. The associated Bistro serves excellent food but can get busy at weekends.
We had a wonderful stay, I need to make a shot out to the team, from the reception, housekeeping, restaurant… the room was perfect the terrace with the whirlpool was a cherry on the top.
Happy we chose it.
Thank you.

It’s fine
It’s an average hotel. Not the best location. Staff were friendly and helpful. However the cleaning staff started around 7am and sadly were not able to close a door quietly so
I had an electronic conversation just after I booked, upgrading my room from a window-less room to a double with a window.
When I arrived this information had not been passed to the hotel.
I was moved to a single room with a nice window with a tiny balcony for no extra cost, which was good but not what I’d expected.
I was checked into this room then had issues with the door lock code (4 digit code instead of keys), when I first checked in there were no towels in the room so had to phone and get that sorted.
Overall a very disappointing start.
Breakfast in the attached restaurant- I didn’t have the continental, but I did enjoy the yoghurt and granola dish, there was lots of lovely tasty fruit and the yoghurt was nice and thick, but the following day the eggs Benedict was very disappointing with “snotty” slightly undercooked eggs and tasteless hollandaise sauce.
The staff were friendly enough but the location wasn’t great for being a tourist.
I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

Lokaatio on syrjässä, mm.
