I don’t even know where to begin with this place. Calling the Jubilee Hotel in Gulfport “run down” would be generous. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with a stale, musty smell that never goes away, no matter how long you try to air out the room. The carpets look like they haven’t been cleaned in years, stained and sticky in spots, which is honestly unsettling.
The room itself was worse. The bedding looked questionable at best, with visible stains that made it impossible to feel comfortable sleeping there. The bathroom was downright disgusting. Mold in the corners, grime built up around the tub, and a sink that clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. I felt like I needed shower shoes just to step in.
To make matters worse, the furniture was either broken or barely holding together. The AC unit was loud and inconsistent, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it hadn’t been serviced in years. It’s clear that maintenance is either nonexistent or completely ignored.
This place feels neglected, like ownership has given up entirely but still wants to collect money from unsuspecting guests. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, not even as a last resort. Spend a little more and stay somewhere that at least meets basic cleanliness standards.
