"This is such a beautiful hotel, well positioned in Sydney's inner west. The rooms are clean, beautifully styled and appointed. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. "The staff were wonderful, friendly, and very helpful.
The location was perfect, right in front of the beach and surrounded by excellent restaurants.
The hotel also was fantastic.
The only downside for me was the cleanliness. When we arrived, there were pieces of paper on the nightstand, the surfaces were dusty, and there was hair in the shower and on the bathroom faucet. I expected a higher standard of cleanliness, which was disappointing.

"We came and booked for 3 adults for the room. However, on arrival, we only received 2 towels and 2 sets of soap and shampoo, which I had to asked the extra based on my booking. "Really clean and comfortable room. Staff were very helpful. Good price and great location. I was staying by myself, but I felt really safe. The pub is a bit noisy, but that is to be expected and the noise died down before I went to bed. The nice communal area with tea/coffee and toast/cereal and a share library was a bonus. "We had a wonderful stay at the InterContinental Sydney and would happily return.
The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent, with a great shower and everything well maintained. The only small improvement I would suggest would be a firmer mattress, as I have a bad back and personally sleep better on a firmer bed. That said, it was still a comfortable night's sleep.

"My 2nd stay at this unique old mansion that's been converted into a comfortable hotel. This time my room was very compact BUT it had all I needed for a short stay. Excellent location, and breakfast included.
Very comfortable bed and good bathroom, all scrupulously clean. I wish there was a lift but staff always willing to help with luggage. I thoroughly recommend this hotel."
