This is not just a hotel; it is an experience that is difficult to put into words.
Our experience began before we even reached the hotel where the hotel had arranged a seamless onward transfer from the collection point.
As we made our way through the narrow alleys and bustling local markets of Haridwar, we must admit the busy streets, crowds and constant activity were certainly not what we had imagined when booking a peaceful retreat.
But, the moment we stepped through the doors of Hari Ganga Niwas, it was as though someone had flicked a switch. In a split second, the noise, chaos and hustle and bustle of the outside world simply disappeared. We had been transported into an entirely different world, one of complete tranquillity, elegance, warmth and spirituality.
As we visited during the period leading up to Diwali, the stretch of the Ganges beside the hotel had been temporarily drained. We can only imagine how breathtaking it must be when the Ganges is flowing in all its glory.
A heartfelt thank you to Ekta, Pankaj Bhai and Anurag, Ankit, Rahul, Varsha and Bittu for their outstanding hospitality, kindness and attention to every little detail.
