"The breakfast was 10/10. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy. Checkout was easy. The common areas were clean. The breakfast girl was super helpful. The shower was great, I loved the huge walk in shower. There were many amenities to use in the bathroom. But two issues cost 2 stars. 1. The bed. A slab of granite would be about as comfortable. I have stayed in too many Romanian hotels with broken mattresses that were so soft on the edges that I almost rolled off. This one at the Aventus was SO hard I could barely move in the morning because I was so sore. I am 1.95 meters tall and 110 KGS, and when I laid on the bed, I barely made a dent in the mattress. 2. When I entered my room, it smelled like sour cabbage or saurkraut. I thought maybe there was a smell from the bathroom, but that was fine. The room was very hot, so I turned on the A/C, and immediately my eyes began to water from the sour cabbage smell. It was so bad that I turned off the A/C and opened the balcony door. That resolved both the heat and the smell issues, and it was quite comfortable the rest of the night. The TV remote was sticky, and the hair dryer quit after 20 seconds and would not start again. If the bed and the smelly a/c were different, I would give it at least four stars. But I only wanted to sleep after a long drive, and the spa was not why I stopped. That breakfast almost made me forget about how much my body hurt from the bed; it was that good."
