"Great stay. Very clean and a good view of the lake. Very convenient location with restaurants and a Woolies metro located nearby. The only downside to our experience was the checkout experience was thane front staff kept asking if we ate breakfast when we did not. She asked 4-5 times and I was getting quite annoyed as she could have called the breakfast staff to check since she didn’t trust my response to her question. "As a VIP booking I was supposed to get a bottle of wine for each room I booked, even though the booking was for my husband and daughter. However no bottles of wine and no mention about anything to do with them. If they weren’t entitled to them as I was not there then maybe this should be communicated to me prior to booking. Bit disappointing"

"This is our 4th stay - The hotel rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, room service is quick and very tasty, the amenities and parking are really convenient. Having a laundry in the room was perfect for us as my son played soccer twice a day for a week on muddy soccer pitches."

"The hotel grounds, lobby and restaurant were beautiful. Historic looking and cosy. Our room was nice on first look. In second look, there was a note on the bench saying the soda water had exploded in the fridge (not sure who left that). The soda water was still there and continued to crack and explode throughout the stay. There was a dead cockroach on the fridge handle which was never removed. (I didn't ask, I wanted to see what would happen). The bathroom door didn't open or close properly...

"Room was great but we were unable to connect to the TV to connect to streaming services. Most hotels these days have either a smart TV with this option or Foxtel channels. This is a perfect option for those cold nights in winter in Canberra."
