"We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. No welcome package was a bit of a shame as this has become pretty standard for holiday cottages and the garden was overrun with bindweed...

"Really beautiful setting and well proportioned rooms. Staff were all very friendly and helpful (my dad who was also staying left his phone in the restaurant and just as I was heading downstairs to find it for him someone was at our door to hand it over!) Air con is a little dated and not very effective, but everything else was really excellent."

"An old coaching inn with a history of highwaymen this was a good stay for us for two nights. We had a family room with two bedrooms and shared bathroom, each with its own double bed and television. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The Hotel also provided fans in the room as there was no air-conditioning. Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold. The restaurant was busy and we managed to book at the last minute. Location was handy for a number of local attractions within 30 minutes drive including Bicester Village, Diddly Squat farm shop and the Farmers Dog pub plus Blenheim Palace was 10 to 15 minutes away. Just across the road from the hotel is a Jet petrol station"
