"The lagoon area is great for swimming and not having to worry about what the sea is doing. There is a beach on the Caribbean about a 3mon walk. Expect lots of kids. You can take public bus to Nassau in about 20-30 mins- costs 1.50 a person. Taxis are 30-40$. Several restaurants close to the hotel- food on the island is expensive for why it is. Expect 15% tip and 10% vat added on- this is what makes it more expensive. We liked thy we were away from Nassau- busy from 7am till 7pm when the boats are in. Overall great stay- we have been to several other islands in the Caribbean to scuba. We did this with our teenage sons since they do not scuba. They had fun. We had fun. What more can you ask for. "

"Overall we enjoyed our stay and the area was beautiful and was a spacious property. I think the room we stayed in was apart of an older building and seemed a little outdated; our room itself was clean and comfortable; however there was often food and drinks left in the hallway or staircase for the whole day which was unpleasant to see. Advertising of the property is a little misleading truly there are only three pools (one hidden way in the back) the other small pools are attached to people’s rooms. If you want a pool chair you have to basically wake up at 6AM & claim your spot or pay for a butler to secure you a spot, I feel like that could be regulated better. The welcoming staff & hosts were very friendly & helpful but when it came to the restaurant servers or bartenders they seemed overwhelmed, never in a hurry; and at times it felt like we annoyed them by just being there. They could do with expanding their fitness area it was very small and often crowded; if that is something you enjoy doing. Overall we would consider coming back if the price is right as it really is a beautiful location. "

"The staff were very nice, but they didn’t tell me I had to pay a cash deposit till I got there, had to walk down the street to an atm in the dark, the sheets on the bed weren’t really fitted sheets, did not feel the safest there. Was good walking distance from restaurants, grocery store and bars."

"Stayed April 1 to 5. Location directions could be improved. It would help a lot if directed to the Brownstone building! Can't hardly see the advised number sign (even our taxi driver was confused and got lost). Once found, it was an easy check in. Got to the unit and it looked great! Upon further inspection and usage, here's the breakdown: - the bed mattress is very hard - was not a comfortable sleep - the bedframe cracks loudly when you are just turning - the kitchen was equipped to a minimum - was ok with us as we only wanted the coffee maker - only 1 hanger in the closet - shower could use an upgrade - showerhead was full of water build up which made the water scarce. The water temperature kept on changing as well. Be ready to get a sudden splash of either hot hot water or very cold water! - the unit is advertised with laundry. This is complete FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! I sent a whatsapp message asking where the laundry was. No response. I went to another unit and asked the people staying there and they called asking for the laundry. They were told that there was no laundry. The lady mentioned, it is advertised but the response was, "there is no laundry there". - communication was ok - don't expect a quick response and in my case, they didn't respond at all when I asked about the laundry. - no checkout instructions Easy access to public transportation but far from night life (ok with us) I would have given it a 4 star but I don't like to be deceived with false advertisement"

"Our stay at Blue Ocean Village was lovely. We stayed in the Bimini Studio which was exactly as advertised. Less than a 30sec walk to an absolutely beautiful stretch of beach. There was enough seating/lounge chairs for about 18ppl, but there were never more than 4-6ppl (including us 2!) in the lounge area at a time - perfection! Lonah and the rest of the staff were very sweet and super attentive/easy to get a hold of. We visited Baha Mar, for an afternoon, which was your typical large scale resort and much preferred the privacy, quiet and serenity that Blue Village offered. We are already planning visiting in the future with the rest of the family!"
