"It's a lovely hotel that's in a very good location in Bernkastel. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable as was the bedding. Breakfast is good, but not outstanding. At the time stayed, the fresh fruit on offer was being harassed by lots of flies which made it unappealing. I think many people appreciate the wine that is available at breakfast, but it wasn't something that appealed to me. The air conditioning was struggling to keep the room cool in the hot weather, but it was appreciated nonetheless. Our main disappointment was that the rooftop / terrace bar wasn't open for most of our stay which was a shame. For me, it was a lovely hotel, but not quite 5 star rating."

"From the initial welcome; to the helpful conversation about my ongoing route plans; to the helpful offer of where to park my motorcycle safely, this was the standout stay of my journey from the UK through Germany towards Bavaria. Lovely, characterful building, affordable rate and genuine interest in me, the traveller. I will most certainly look to stay here again; so many interesting places to visit nearby, and a feeling of being 'home from home'."

"It's going to be hard to find a better place to stay and eat on the Mosel than Hotel Zeltinger Hof. The property is somewhat peculiarly segmented and spread across several locations, which may at first seem disjointed and inconvenient (especially if it's pouring rain), but in the end it starts to make sense. The rooms were incredibly well appointed, the check-in experience very smooth and friendly, and the dining frankly out of this world. The selection of wines was, as expected, an anthology of the greatest producers along the Mosel and its tributaries. But what I did NOT expect was how deep that anthology went. The wine list exposes you to an encyclopedic history of both current AND now-defunct or impossibly small winemakers and wines, some remarkably old and hopefully very well preserved--a deep-dive into the Mosel's prolific winemaking pre-history. There's so much about this property that begs to be explored even more, and thus we'll return. Hopefully in the very near future. Well done, Zeltinger Hof!!"
