"I LOVED this hotel! My room was extremely spacious with a balcony, a dedicated workspace, and a sizable bathroom. No AC, which is unfortunate, but leaving my balcony door open at night and closing the drapes during the day helped keep the temperature down. Front desk staff was extremely helpful with all of my questions, and I recommend both the dinner and breakfast."

One staff member was outstanding, I believe their name was Vlad but I could be mistaken, was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable throughout and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended to stay here. We will be returning!"

"Recently stayed here for 1 night on a longer tour of the area. Lovely hotel in a very good location to explore the area, 40 minute drive into Triberg. Room was very clean and comfortable, staff extremely helpful and friendly and breakfast was very nice. Would certainly come back."

"One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. This is the quintessential German resort hotel, unbelievable property that has us finding new rooms and experiences each day. In the middle of hiking country with e-bikes easily rented. The food and service was impeccable, can’t speak more highly!"

"Beautifully situated for wonderful views of the valley below. Good parking. The proprietor, Ingolf, is a really likeable extrovert with good English. Best not to mention World Cup, Germany, however!!! Breakfasts are good with occasional treats. Our room was large, plenty of storage, clean with a table for four - good for takeaways etc. (no chambermaid, but not needed anyway) balcony more than adequate for that evening tipple. No lunch or evening meals, but no problem. Beer, soft drinks in large fridge - honor system used. Braunbergstuble further up the hill (watch out for small pointer signs) welcoming, excellent with large meals and Credit cards accepted. Hotel Hirsch in town, Credit cards not accepted and told after the meal. All in all a lovely break.Thank you Ingolf."

"Parking was a bit difficult. Had to park across the street in an underground and pay €14 per night. The breakfast was remarkable and the best we have ever had in any hotel traveling. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They didn't seem to know how to find an ATM. Suggest that information be available to travelers who need to exchange currency."
