The staff were, without exception, welcoming, approachable and helpful throughout my stay - and remarkably fluent in English. My room was thoroughly cleaned each day. The furnishings were basic but included everything necessary, apart possible from a glass tumbler. Despite seeming to have a large number of guests, I experienced complete quietness during the night. The hotel does face onto a busy road but my impression is that few of the bedrooms are on that side of the building. The dining room was open from 6.30am during the working week and from 7am at weekends and, I seem to remember, it was open for four hours on each occasion. Perhaps because of the extended opening times there was never any crushes during breakfast. It has as good a range and quantity of food as in many more expensive hotels. The hotel is in an excellent position for travelling in Berlin. Ten minutes walk from Acama hotel, in one direction, takes you to Hallesches Tor U-bahn which allows access to all parts of the city; while ten minutes in the opposite direction takes you to Meckernbrucke U-bahn which, along with an airport shuttle bus, gives direct access to Berlin Brandenburg airport. But frankly if you are moderately fit and not accompanied by children it is possible to walk to most of the main tourist attractions in central Berlin, from Acama. All-in-all I was delighted with my choice of accommodation and Acama hotel will certainly be my first choice for accommodation next time in Berlin.

The reception staff at the hotel are really amazing and helpful. The room was just perfect. Great location with everything in easy walking distance (Berlin is an incredible city to walk and experience). Would recommend and come back again.

Clean rooms with excellent room service. Internet often did not work and staff could only recommend that I wait for it to improve. Mattresses were very thin and it sometimes hurt to feel the bed springs. Location is very convenient to the U-Bahn.

Room was clean and tidy . bed was comfortable, I was given a family room and as a solo traveller that was a bonus. As an a visitor that only spoke English, I found all staff I spoke to could also speak English. The hotel was only 10 mins from rail and bus services

Great Location!
Great location, handy for the bars and restaurants as well as not too far to walk to the main tourist areas. Hotel staff were friendly and our stay was practical and functional. Our was a bit packed with 2 single beds and a bunk setup but didn’t bother us too much. Only real downer was that it was warm in the room - no a/c - and when windows are opened the noise of the S Bahn trains were sleep prohibitive

Large group traveling together. Convenient large rooms. Nice breakfast available. Rather loud hallway one night but management responded quickly. Rooms that have windows to the courtyard are louder.

I would not recommend this property to anyone. The staff was not friendly or helpful whatsoever, they just want to move you through and get to the next person. The room was very small and the shower is ridiculous. There are absolutely no amenities and they want to charge you for everything including coffee and water. The ATM has a $30 surcharge on it and the staff will tell you there is no fee for using it. There is no parking for available for anyone driving a large van or vehicle and the staff could care less about helping you find a place to park as well. Breakfast was not included and was an upcharge just like everything else in this place (to include the Foosball table). The location is not that great or ideal either. Also, stay away from the bar that is next door, it is an Ethiopian dive that my daughter got her purse stolen in. We traveled to five different hotels in Europe while on this trip and this was BY FAR the worst.

We do provide free hot water and coffee in our lobby, so not all drinks are to pay. Our ATM machine is external and does inform about the handling fee before the withdrawal. Most of Berlin hotels do not include breakfast in the rate which we always inform on each website. The reason is, that many guests prefer to have breakfast outside of the house. Slow check-in but great stay overall
The check-in was a farce as the computer was updating and I had to stand there waiting for 30 mins as all the lounge chairs were full. However the rest of my stay was excellent, the room was spacious and clean. I had a lovely view of the canal. Very close to a U-ban station. Very good for the price

Usually it should not be longer than 30 minutes, and if so we usually invite our guests to have free coffee in our lobby. The hostel was generally good, friendly staff on reception, hot showers, very clean towels, sheets etc. great location & good that bike rental was possible (though we didn't use this).A big problem was the heat of the room at night and poor ventilation (we were on the 5th floor). Also, the noise from neighbouring rooms late at night was a problem.

If your young and traveling it is a good place. It is close to the attractions around Berlin. Staff is nice. Remember they serve traditional European breakfast not American.

Not a bad hostel which served us well
We were attending a wedding close by so this was ideal for us. A little bit noisy from other rooms and the trains but nothing too bad. Free tea and coffee in the lobby was a nice touch although got a bit confusing on Sunday as we were asked to go to the dining room for coffee and then, once there, were told the dining room was closed and we had to leave!

No AC, fan optional if available, our stay was ok
It was an ok stay for overnight. The only thing is that no air condition and I was a little upset because when we checked in a fan wasn’t offered. Instead while we were at the lobby that evening I saw a fan that they are about to take it to a room. So I asked if we could have 1 in our room but they said no, it is all taken while we came in early morning and it wasn’t even an option.But overall our stay was ok.

Basic but convenient and quiet.
Room basic but fine, beds okay, the hostel was quieter than I expected with lots of families as well as young travellers, although we were at the front with a train line and busy road just outside. It's a convenient location, only four stops from Friedrichstrasse on the underground.
