"My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone! "

"I had a very relaxing stay at the well-appointed lodging. The newly installed pool was a pleasant and welcomed surprise, especially since it wasn't listed at the time of booking. Upon arrival, guests are greeted and escorted to their rooms. The onsite restaurant and staff were wonderful, and despite the current expansion happening on the grounds, we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The eco-friendly toiletries provided were a nice touch. Conveniently located next to the Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, which we were able to see from our room, is a nice stop, as the other sights are hours drive away. There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. However, please note that the walk down several steep streets to the downtown area is not easy, especially in the heat. It takes about 20 minutes, and requires a climb back up to the residence, so it's not suitable for everyone. If you prefer, you can take a cab from the welcome center to the downtown area for around $10 BZE.There are a few restaurants located within walking distance from the residence. "Staff are attentive and helpful. Property provides many amenities and options for touring around the San Ignatio area. If I find myself coming back to San Ignatio I would strongly consider staying at Mystic River again."

"Our cottage was wonderful and the bed so comfy! The grounds were beautiful, we were taken away as soon as we arrived. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool was a relief to have and so well maintained. And we loved the butterfly conservatory, we can't remember her name, sorry, but the girl that gave us the tour was so informative and easy to talk to. We will definately be back!"

"Gaia is a very beautiful place. The property is so serene and was very grounding. The nature and wildlife is amazing and they do an excellent job to keep guests comfortable even though you are nearly in the rainforest. The staff and service were top notch and staff made sure we were comfortable and felt special. Definitely reccomend "
