"An independent hotel that isn't a bit of a maintenance concern. They're keeping the property in great shape. Bring a car. Uber works, but it can be a bit of wait."

"Staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were nice but dated. Really not a bad place to stay. The only complaints were that the washing machines were broken so we couldn't do laundry (we're hiking the AT/Long Trail and very dirty clothes) and the breakfast was disappointing (looking forward to a hot breakfast but they only offer a granola bar, fruit cup and juice in a brown bag) but it was ok for us. Another plus is a Wal-mart, Price Chopper, Starbucks, and restaurants very close for resupply and chow time."

"The place seemed a little shabbier than last year. Eg. Walkway lights in front not functioning. The room lacking in electrical outlets for a modern traveler. ( They claim remodeling is scheduled) Breakfast buffet nothing special, could use some nicer baked goods. Bathroom soaps tiny, toilet paper flimsy. Maybe since place hoping to sell soon, Owners reluctant to put much in right now."

"Just one mile south of the four corners in Bennington. Shops and restaurants within 5-10 minutes. It was a nice quiet location. My only complaint was, although everything was clean, the floor was very dirty. I washed my bare feet and wore shoes after my first trip to the bathroom."

"Perfect place to stop on the Rt 7 corridor between VT/MA. It was clean, easy to access, and met our needs. It isn’t fancy but has all that you need including modern outlets for device charging, a new frig and microwave, and a simple but adequate breakfast."
