Hotel Nandhini worked for me as I was looking for a place as near to ITPL as possible. The staff, though not very professional, is courteous and wants to help. The facility is old and if you are a frequent traveler used to 3star facilties, there is nothing to look forward to at Nandhini. When did you last stay at a hotel without an elevator??
Hotel Nandhini is not hard on your pocket and is comfortable. you are not irritated for having to stay there, particularly if the intention is only to come back at night for a sleep. It helps save you from the harrowing experience of Bangalore traffic. Surprsingly, it serves delicious Andhra cuisine in its attached restaurant, which seems fairly popular with the local crowd, going by the number of people enjoying their "thali" at about 10 PM, which is closing time for the restaurant.
So, if you are not looking for the best of facilities, do not wish to spend more, young enough to ignore the absence of an elevator and want to just walk to your place of work, Nandhini could be considered.
