"Very Clean Rooms, newly renovated. Very difficult to find, especially if the driver doesn’t know the area. Not a big hotel sign located on top. We passed it three times, until we had to call the hotel for the location. The Staff is very friendly. The Medina where it’s located inside of is very congested with shops and tourists. The hotel room is very basic. The Breakfast is nice, but keep away from any milk products, as their milk is not pasteurized. It caused all of us a lot of stomach problems. If you’re looking for a nice peaceful getaway, I would definitely suggest getting away from the Marrakesh. And be careful of bribery, NOT AT THE HOTEL, but outside. Even if you ask for directions, people that will some money, so make sure you keep loose change with you. A beautiful hotel, just wish it was at a different location. I would not go again to Marrakesh. Try Tangire or Essaouira ( Amazing spots ). If you do decide to go, make sure they drop you off at the Square that way it’s a straight walk to the hotel. Otherwise there’s a lot of alleys which at night is not the cleanest and slightly scary with odd characters. Keep ur belonging safe !!!! "

"Well if you are looking for an authentic Marrakesh experience then look no further! This Riad is at the end of a maze of busy streets and I was relieved that someone from the place had come to meet us from their transport. We were very happy to have the courtesy transport which was a perk from Expedia, they kindly picked us up from the station and then returned us to the airport the next day. However, they did try to charge us, despite me having mentioned the deal on several occasions. They made no fuss though when I showed my Expedia receipt. Having spent a night in a different Riad last week this Riad was quite different it was very friendly and clean but it was really tucked away and difficult to find. It was quite lavish in many ways and not really for me, but it felt very authentic! Staff seemed very shy but loveky. The upstairs terrace was a really beautiful place to sit in the evening . Breakfast was the standard omelette and pancakes beautifully presented! "

"Friendly and helpful staff. They will help you with luggage to and from your transport service (car service). Car cannot drive to fromt door but if you call the riad they will help tell driver where to go and meet you to help with luggage to riad. Very safe while close to the outdoor market. And great spa services!"

"Compliments: Staff was superb, 5 stars, especially Chaymae who went out of her way to assist with everything. Soufiane was also very helpful. We used the car sevice for outside of the medina and airport pick-up and drop-off, which we recommend for convenience and great service. The hotel housekeeping crew works tirelessly every day and does a great job. Same for the breakfast and kitchen staff who were always friendly, in a good mood and very accommodating. We would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the loud live music until 11pm -and loud restaurant guests some nights even after that. We were on the second floor and faced the inner courtyard. It must be intolerable for people in the rooms next to the band and the amps on the ground fl. If you are a party person who stays out, you’ll be just fine. If you prefer quiet relaxation, then this Riad is not for you. Location: Couldn’t be more convenient. Only a few minutes’ walk to most attractions, including the markets and the Jemaa el-Fnaa square. Restaurants: Bistro a bit on the expensive side but the Tagine was superb. La Pergola upstairs was average on food but nice space on the top of the Riad. A negative was that the entire space is smoking -difficult to understand nowadays! A suggestion to the owner: please carve out bigger half of the restaurant as non-smoking to make it comfortable for non-smokers. Rooms: very comfortable and spacious. Suggestion: to include written instructions on how to use tv and a/c."

"Riad Karmela at heart of medina, run by a team full of heart Eager to escape the end of the harsh British winter and keen for some early spring sunshine, we opted to go to Marrakech for a week. We picked this Riad because of its location and aesthetic and it did not disappoint. Situated in the Azbezt area of the medina, it is a few minutes’ walk from all the hustle and bustle of the souks and is excellent for all your needs as a tourist in the city. It is close to most of the main attractions and no more than 10-15 minutes walk from excellent restaurants. We took advantage of the transfers arranged by the hotel which was an excellent idea, as they bring you as close to the hotel as is physically possible. Walking down the narrow street to the fairy lit tunnel entrance, you enter the hotel and find an absolute oasis of peace and quiet. The riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional style, with several small courtyards that guests can rest in and shelter from the sun and the city. The roof of the hotel has many chairs and loungers for people who wish to worship the sun. The rooms were brilliantly furnished, with great facilities. The bed was amazingly comfortable with wonderful pillows we wish we could have kept! The breakfast every day was an excellent buffet, with an enormous range of tasty treats and delights on offer, including a wide range of hot and cold drinks.
