"We had the most lovely stay at Antico Borgo Etneo. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the train station, the property is gorgeous, our room was very clean and relatively cool considering we were in the middle of a heat wave. Great hospitality and a scrumptious breakfast (we’ll be thinking about that lemon chiffon cake for ages). We would stay again the next time in Calatabiano. Grazie a tutti!"

"The stay had much to be desired. Check in was at 2. When we arrived at 2 we were told it would be about another hour as they were not ready. It was about 35 to 40 mins and the room was ready. When we got to our room we were told that the TV and the fridge dont work. Unfortunately I had to be a bit of a complainer. "Beautiful location and stunning building, only ourselves and the owners there on our two night stay. Lovely staff. Friendly owners. Unfortunately the room was pretty tired and bathroom needed a good overall. Old marked shower enclosure. Crumbling walls round the shower unit. Shower coming away from wall and mould round taps. Also a ton of ants in and around bathroom. Tissue box full of them. Breakfast which was included was poor. Very old looking tomato and cucumber slices and tbh v little...

"I loved the size, the location and the amenities of the hotel. It’s very clean, well maintained. Every morning I was able to get free umbrella on the private beach, and there were always free beds by the pools. The breakfast was good, with tasty melons, watermelons and peaches. It had a great variety of pastries and cakes, and the usual continental breakfast elements. There was cooked breakfast as well which was mostly bacon, sausages and eggs, and then various other elements ( changed every day). The gala dinner on Saturday ( celebration of middle of summer) was amazing and well worth the money! We had dinner in the garden with live music, artists painting, fashion show and finished with the deserts served by the beach and fireworks. It was spectacular!"

"This hotel truly surpassed our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the cleaning staff did an amazing job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and clearly maintained with great attention to detail. Breakfast was another highlight—fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and with so many thoughtful touches that made it feel special. We were also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were for both food and transportation, especially compared with many other hotels we have stayed at. What stood out most was the care put into every aspect of the guest experience. The entire staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and everything felt well organized and thoughtfully done. It is rare to find a hotel that delivers so well across every area. We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. We would happily return!"

"Overall an excellent stay. Our suite (with a private pool) was modern, clean and comfortable - most critically with a soft bed (italian beds are usually so hard) and effective but quiet aircon (so you could have it on all night). At the pool there are comfy sunloungers and we always had brand new fluffy pool towels. The main pool was usually very busy - but not an issue for us as we camped out at the adults pool. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lunch and drinks at Lime Bar were also always to a high standard. The evening buffet, and the a-la carte restaurants were a bit hit & miss - the pizza restaurant the best of the bunch. Staff very helpful, maybe just too few of them on occassion. Note that this hotel really is off the beaten track. Brucoli village is close - but there is nothing there to see or do. Don't bother going and certainly pay for the water taxi from the hotel. Overall - thoroughly recommend."
