"The staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s an older hotel but that is part of its charm. It’s located near the amazing farmer’s market and great restaurants. They were helpful with transportation as well! "
"The room was clean and the hotel itself was nice and enjoyable. We spent a lot of time by the pool and we stayed in a cabana which we really enjoyed.
A few things we didn’t love was that you couldn’t get room service, we ordered a pizza around 7-8pm and waited for it at the bar but It took an hour. We also weren’t told that the breakfast buffet runs from 7am-10am and after that we could order from their breakfast menu. We were not fond of the breakfast buffet and would’ve preferred ordering from the menu so I do think that you should advise your guests of the times.
The staff at the bar/restaurant work very hard and are very nice but they are understaffed and we would wait 30+ minutes for a drink, let alone food.
Probably would not stay here again but other than those things we did enjoy it. "
"Room was clean enough. The bathroom was weird- the toilet was wedged into an area next to the shower. Using it was almost an acrobatic experience. Front staff helped when asked. This is a budget hotel, and for the price its a pretty reasonable deal."
"Pros: pool, butterfly garden, decent restaurant.
Cons: room was basic with no dresser or space to put clothes. It was noisy overnight and we were kept up. No regulation for parties etc. the hot water kept going in and out. There was a lot of construction noise. One staff member was really helpful, the others not so much. If you care about sleep, this is not the place. "
"Staff was so helpful. Carla helped us settle in and answered all of our questions. Property was clean and beautiful. We enjoyed riding bikes and hiking the trails on site. "
"We loved staying in this serene and beautiful property. The staff was super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were content. The cabins are clean, the beds comfortable, the air conditioners great, and the pool a refreshing respite from the afternoon heat. We appreciated being away from the bustle of San Ignacio and the opportunities for wildlife viewing on the grounds. The staff delivers your luggage to and from your cabin and arranges taxi rides to and from town, if desired. It’s a lovely and relaxing place to stay close to the Cahal Pech Ruins (about 2 kilometers)."
"All the staff were friendly and helpful. Location cannot be beat. Loved slow mornings watching the wildlife from our front porch. Food was great and our accommodations were cozy, clean and well maintained. "
"The most friendly, welcoming and helpful staff! Amazing breakfasts and drinks from the restaurant, clean comfortable room - refreshing pool - beautiful grounds and wildlife to be seen! What a wonderful base for exploring the area!
The location is perfect (walkable to downtown ~20-30 mins) steep walk back but manageable or take a taxi.
30 mins from the Guatemala border,
2mins from Cahal Pech
ATM caves with Maya Walk was an easy pick up and drop off.
Breakfast was easily pre-ordered (and packed to go if needed) for our early start days making life easier!
Highly recommend this place. "
