"Absolutely perfect weekend getaway spot for romance! My partner and I wanted to celebrate our first anniversary in Galena and a friend recommended the Cloran to us. What can I say? It was absolutely wonderful! Paul was the perfect host. He was communicative and welcoming when we arrived. He told us a brief history about John’s room where we would be staying and let us know he was available for any need we had. The room was beautiful and clean and the towels were so soft! The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was big enough for two with room to spare! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and he even incorporated some local fare into the meal and we went out and purchased the preserves and fruit butters that we’d tried. The grounds were spacious and parking was easy. We plan to make a return trip to Galena and will be staying at the Cloran and recommending it to everyone! Thank you Paul!!"

"Lorraine and Jan have a wonderful, homey, inn that feels welcoming and comfortable. The decorations and antiques provide a country charmed feeling. We stayed in the smaller singe room. We peaked into the larger rooms with sitting areas, fireplaces, jacuzzis and they LOOKED AMAZING! Most of the enjoyment comes from the hospitality of Lorraine and Jan. They have been doing this for 37 years and they do it as a business but also because they love serving people. Lorraine is great about making sure people have what they need and urges them to ask them for whatever. They make themselves available. If you want to chat while you have a yummy provided breakfast, you will have fun with this delightful couple who know the ropes of Galena and are glad to share them with you. P.S. I really appreciated the little coffee/tea bar and mini fridge up on the bedroom level where we could grab a coffee and bring it back to our bedroom to sip while waking up and getting ready to go downstairs for breakfast! "

"We enjoyed our stay here immensely with a private in-room whirlpool. While the room was showing its age somewhat and could use a few updates, overall it was quite comfy. We stayed in the Paradise Cove suite as we were looking for a tropical vacation theme to escape from the cold. Breakfast was more than adequate and had good variety."
