It’s a nice place. We’ve stayed there twice before. Easy walk to restaurants, the beach/boardwalk and the bay.

The inn was very cute, and the decor in the communal spaces was lovely. The breakfast, 24-hour coffee, communal microwave, and fridge in the room were all great amenities that provided a lovely addition to my stay. However, in the breakfast room, I did notice mold on the ceiling. I was also disappointed to find hair in the shower upon arrival, indicating that although at first glance the room appeared clean, it was not thoroughly checked out and cleaned after the previous guests. I left the inn feeling a bit under the weather, and I wonder if that was due to the mold and the half-done cleaning job of my room. Overall, the location was great, only 2 blocks from the beach, and the on-property parking was a plus. I would love to stay here again; I just hope in the future that the property takes into consideration my notes and thoroughly cleans the rooms, in addition to getting the mold checked out.

The property was nice and clean, a bit high priced for the amenities. But over all it was a nice place and the staff was very friendly and pleasant.

Great location in Belmar perfectly between the beach and downtown. Cute house with a lovely porch with tables and chairs in a quiet neighborhood. However, our room had a lot of wall and ceiling damage and was very musty/mildewy (got lucky that the weather was chilly so we could open the windows and get fresh air). We were in room #3 which was also missing a smoke detector. The bathroom was quite spacious but had an incredibly small and leaky shower oddly, and the room floors were sandy and sticky when we checked in (which I also reported without response). The bed was very comfortable and the continental breakfast was cute with nice baked goods. My biggest complaint is because there seemed to be no onsite staff, there was no one to handle the incredibly loud (read: 3am noise making, yelling, and music blasting) guests in room #6 down the hall. I tried to address it myself but the guests didn't answer the door, and no one responded when I texted the # in the welcome book (describing a 10p-7a quiet time). Would not stay again despite all the pro's given the non-existent support.

The innkeeper while we were there was kind and courteous, he helped us figure out where to go in the area and was in general a good guy. I'd stay again.

We stayed at the SaltWater Inn for the weekend and enjoyed ourselves. Belmar is a beautiful town and the Inn is very close to the beach. Our Innkeeper, Josh, made himself available for any of our concerns. I would certainly stay there again.

We stayed in the Family Tides suite, and it was exactly what we needed for our large blended family to all have their own space while still being together for the weekend. The innkeeper Josh was so kind and helpful, he really made us feel at home. The room was clean and well stocked with amenities. We would return to stay here any time!

If you are looking for a place that's clean and relaxing this is the place to visit. The Host was very friendly and always ready to help with our needs. In my opinion the place is beautiful!!

We had two rooms- the family suite and a queen. My family, adults and many little ones , had such a wonderful time. There was plenty of room in the suite for all. The kids enjoyed having a bit of freedom going from our room , to breakfast, to the outdoors- they especially enjoyed the large Adirondack chair. Convenient location, close to the beach, it has become a great memory for us all. I overheard One little one…” I want to stay here forever!”

Amazing 3 day stay. Josh & Holly are amazing inn-keepers. Very nice, friendly, welcoming & helpful. Complimentary continental breakfast daily is a very nice thing to have. And to wake up in the mornings to the smell of fresh coffee is amazing! We will def be back again! :)

Great place for a getaway

The entrance to to the inn was calming. There wasn’t any issues checking in. The inn keeper was amazing offering coffee and sweets in the morning. She even offered the use of beach equipment. I would recommend this inn to anyone looking to get away.

The Inn was very clean. We stayed at the family suite which was perfect for five people. The innkeeper (Josh) was very friendly and helpful making sure all of our needs were met. The only drawbacks were the room did not have cable TV (but did have an outdated smart TV) and the bathrooms were a bit tight. But otherwise a great place to spend a week at the shore!

The Saltwater Inn is not inexpensive. However, you are so close to the beach, you get free breakfast, the room is so quiet and comfortable, and Josh the innkeeper is as advertised. He really is personable and makes sure that you have a wonderful stay. They have beach chairs you can borrow to take to the beach which is just a couple of blocks away. You're also super close to Main Street which is where there are lots of great places to eat.
