Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel

"Nice clean hotel in a convenient area with nice pool but you will need to bring plenty of money. Bellhop service is nice, but you can’t get your own luggage cart so bring cash for tips. Valet parking with a $75 per night charge so look elsewhere to park unless money doesn’t matter. Pool is nice but no outside food or drinks allowed so you’ll need to spend more money to buy drinks/food from the pool bar. Restaurants/cafe food is pretty good but definitely overpriced. Rooms do not have microwaves or coffee pots but include 2 bottles of water, big TV and mini fridge. The sink leaked in our first room so they moved us to a smaller room with worse view until I complained and then they moved us to an ocean view room, which was still smaller than our original room but the view was nicer so it worked. Having to move rooms after we got everything set up was definitely an inconvenience that they should have been more apologetic for and should have offered us the same type of room or better initially instead of trying to put us in a smaller worse view room."

"Great staff, great location, very clean. If you are doing a short stay (1-2 nights) it’s good. However I wouldn’t want to stay for a long time (longer than a night or two) the bed wasn’t comfortable at all and they don’t have black our shades so if you have trouble sleeping with light coming in you’ll have a hard time here. Good for a short stay, not ideal for a week or more."

"Rooms were very nice overlooking the ocean. Facility was clean. Restaurant and Bar were once in the same. My husband ordered fish and chips which were awful. It appeared that there was a fight or conflict in the bar area (we were sitting on the deck which was nice). Hotel could do a lot more with good food and reliable staff in the bar/restaurant. Proximity to ocean was wonderful. However, be cautious crossing the road to get to the ocean, those drivers go fast and don't stop for crosswalks."

"Radisson hotel Improvements needed 1. New tv very old really dates the hotel 2. Chair by torch lamp needs a end table 3. Bathroom tub very slippery needs walk in shower, water leaks onto floor causing a hazard. 4. Most of the furniture is worn. 5. Positive side very clean 6. Staff very friendly 7. Excellent location to CentraState Hospital and Freehold Mall. 8. Beds very comfortable 9. Water pressure for shower outstanding, but need wand attachment. 10. Coffee maker should be a Keurig"

"The facilities were clean, our room had usual wear and tear but nothing concerning, the shower was really nice, it was easy to access the boardwalk, the restaurant/bar was lively and had fun activities in the evenings, and staff was accommodating and kind. I'd definitely go back."
