"The hotel and grounds are wonderful, particularly in high summer when the gardens and floral scents from the herbs are wonderful. The location is peaceful and calming and the old Abbey grounds give an aura of protection given a high boundary stone wall surrounding the site. The windows did not open fully due to the curtains blocking them and it was stifling hot. and when we tried to manipulate them, we were afraid they would break. The daily housekeeping was unacceptable - coffee cups were left dirty in the room, the bathroom didn't appear to have been cleaned at all, and in the bathroom the windows did not shut properly. "We had an absoloutely wonderful two night stay with our toddler at Cave Auger.
