"This worked well as a super last minute night after our previous plans fell through. The room was clean enough with a few stains on the pillows. Unfortunately it reeked of weed so we had to air it out. All in all very reasonable night all things considered"

"The floor was so dirty the bottom of my shoes are cleaner. Better than last stay but now they’ve added a new barrier which is the virtual assistant. The janitor had to come out and help me because the submit button didn’t work. I get it that there’s a push toward ai and automation but if you lose the humanity, why would I ever travel."

"The staff was awesome and the area walkable the bed was comfortable. It was an older hotel in a historic building. The history was cool, but I did knock them as they didn’t have their own parking. You got a pass to hang from your mirror, then find a place to park in the neighborhood. I thought this was iffy, but I had no problems. It’s an older hotel building. The room had a physical key rather than a magnetic lock, which I thought was quaint."

"I was asked 5 times if only the two of us were in the room. You can’t use pool if you have three and breakfast which is horrible, can only have two people from your room eat. Which I hate people, everyone in line took enough food for four, leaving zero for anyone else, and it wasn’t replace in the 20 minutes we waited. Must be Cali thing but initial no smoking pet fee car info rates here uggg Oh and it’s in the middle of a homeless area… And right next door to a dispensary. Beware"

"The Carter House Inn is a replica of an historic Victorian building and has a quaint, cozy, welcoming feel. We enjoyed a free glass of wine with a delicious dinner (Carter House Inn salad of frisee, pear, kale, spiced pecans), mushroom tart with goat cheese, and poached sockeye salmon, grilled asparagus and delicious lemony hollandaise sauce. "Broken elevator and no help carrying luggage up stairs, musty smell, broken TV, had to change rooms after already unpacking. Moved to an even mustier room which was located next to the ice machine and elevator, it was so noisy it sounded like people were in our room, water in shower smelled so bad it was disgusting and water pooled unless dirty plug was taken completely out.
