"We had a partial view of the ocean with a very small walk out balcony. It was nice. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was not very comfortable. I was surprised at this considering the price of our stay. Also, it would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room. I had leftovers from dinner and I had to eat my lunch cold. "

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is 100 years old. So if you want a cookie cutter big Chain experience, this probably isn’t for you. The hotel has wooden floors, and you walk out the back door literally onto the beach. Mary, the staff member on duty when I checked in was incredibly friendly. If there’s a wedding going on during the weekend, it will be noisy because the building is small and old. But it’s unbelievably charming. I stayed in two hotels while I was in Jacksonville. The first was the Hyatt downtown, the seconds this Hotel. I stayed in the Hyatt first. If I had stayed in this one first, I would never have left. I would stay again in a heartbeat. It’s just that vintage-feeling and so very lovely."

"Loved the property... wifi didn't work and the air conditioner in room 224 leaked water pretty bad .. but the beds were comfortable, loved the balcony view of the pool & ocean and Lemon Bar .. wish there was an elevator .. but overall it was a great experience."
