"First want to start with the front desk lady was great! She had little coloring books set for kids and gave us one. Super kind. Last day we were there, I always strip the bed sheets. When I did I found bugs. I called and spoke to someone they expressed concern and offered compensation. A day later, I called them, they said it was simply just a lady bug. "No "real" person at the front desk for check-in. The virtual attendant had a microphone that kept cutting out and it took three of us to figure out what she was saying and instructing us to do. There did not appear to be any staff on site and it did not feel safe. Extra flooring planks were left in the hallway with caution tape wrapped around them. The sheets appeared clean, but the mattress underneath was gross looking. Just an overall sense that this was not a good place to be. We did...

"Nice historic building in the center of town. Very nicely maintained and the staff are quiet but friendly enough. The back of the hotel can get noisy with nightly alley mini parties. Our bed was basically U-shaped and we struggled to not roll into the middle of the bed. That was our only complaint. Parking is excellent and there’s a very good sushi restaurant in the lobby. There’s also a good number of places to eat around the plaza and in the surrounding neighborhoods."

The guy said well these people haven't shown up that have reservations, so I'll give you this room, we had a suite. Next thing we know three more people showed up so we think they got our room because then we were stuck with a handicap room for 5 days. "This hotel had all the amenities advertised, available and in good order. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. There was lots of choice for breakfast from cereal and toast, cooked eggs and bacon to make your own mini waffles. Coffee was great. The town of Eureka was great and the Friday Night Street Market had good entertainment as well as a choice of local produce stalls. Only wish we were staying another night."

"Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"The room was very clean and spacious very updated. We use the laundry facility and it was very nice. The breakfast area was well stocked your normal hotel breakfast."
