Travel to Basak San Nicolas

Don't be deceived by the pictures. This hotel is old and outdated 1980's style, once you pass the lobby which is not airconditioned at night. King sized mattress is very tired. I will visit my chiropractor the 1st day when I land back home. The bed gave me a serious lower back pain and had to take ibuprofen before getting on a long flight. Shower matts are molded, dirty. Management replaced it with with another dirty one. Pool is closed for renovation which they only disclosed after you paid for your reservation. There is a private pool across the street that front desk says you have access to but it was closed on Sunday. When I asked front desk if I can use the lounge for on top floor, the lady just flat lied and claimed that it was under construction. Of course, it was open. Manager (Michelle) obviously doesn't care about making your stay pleasant. Cost cutting is the name of the game at this establishment. I was still on US time, so went down to the lobby at 4 AM to call my office. No AC, very humid uncomfortable. No coffee either. Front desk offered me a brewed coffee but it was undrinkable. People at front desk are sometimes friendly but overall couldn't be bothered. Bottom line, this hotel is one of the better ones for locals but avoid it like a plague if you expect even a mid-quality western style business hotel. I typically stay at Holiday Inn across the street and I regret trying Seda. This was the worst customer serice I had in a very long time.

Breakfast was amazing.
