"The property is expansive, beautiful and well maintained. We were warmly greeted at reception and granted early check in. We were given a tour of the property via a golf cart then deposited at our lovely Elegant Suite. So far so good. One of the primary reasons we booked Vilalara is because of they have a spa. We don't typically book services but we love using the sauna, steamer, and other amenities. We stopped at the spa and were given a brief tour. We were not shown the thalassa features, so I can't tell you what they entail, but we did see the cold plunge tub, a small windowless relaxation room, a small sauna and steamer. This area was not very large or impressive for a spa property and the resort charges 22 Euro per person, per day to use it. No where on their website, or any affiliated sites was this published. We would not have booked this hotel if we had known about the upcharge. Also, their website says they have a jacuzzi but none of the three outdoor pools had a spa. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the gorgeous beach and pools but a cool day would have been miserable. Other disappointments were inconsistent housekeeping; one night we had no turndown service at all and other nights we had only the delivery of water. We constantly had to ask for coffee pods and/or cream. The gym is lovely and they have high end cardio but need additional free weights, one set of each weight is inadequate. The breakfast staff and food were wonderful, but we will not return."

"My favorite part of this hotel was the view. We were fortunate to have a seaview room which had a balcony that we used nightly to wind down. The hotel allow lots of ways to enjoy the beautiful views - poolside and all restaurants. The room was spacious and clean with a seaview from all angles of the room - lloved it. The staff was most helpful when deciding on tour options and all questions we had. The meals where very good with the breakfast assortment being spectacular! The best I have ever experienced. We had the occasional dinner at the hotel which was lovely ($$$$). We also walked into the village and had wonderful meals there, as well. We treated ourselves to spa treatment with a couples massage. Of course this was heavenly! We enjoyed the location which allowed us to walk to beaches, village, tours and hike along the cliffs. We thought we would use a car more but it was parked the entire time we were there (at no charge). This 5 star hotel lives up to its stars. Would definitely recommend."

"The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious, daily cleaning. Friendly staffs. Laundry machine in the kitchen was convenient to wash clothes. Kitchen was well equipped. The appartment has all the utilities, stove, fridge, microwave; however, you will need to bring your own laundry detergent. We didn't cook. If you want to cook, you need to get your own supplies (cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc). There is a big super market within 5 minutes walking where we got cooked foods, bakery, fruits, milk for our stay . It's a perfect location right at the marina where you can go for boat tours and taking trails to view rock formations in the beaches nearby. We loved our stay at Marina club suite hotel"

"Apart from a burnt-out overhead light in the bathroom, my room and experience were top-notch. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was superb, and the setting—right along the beachfront—could not have been any better. I highly recommend the Algarve Casino."

"This place was great. Central location, great breakfast, spacious rooms and attentive staff. My only issue was when I arrived they put me on floor one which had no view and no view. Then they put me on floor 4 overlooking a bus station. So be careful when you get there and get clear about where your room is. I would have easily given this place a 5 star except for that"

"Staff were very kind and helpful. Allowed us to borrow a wine opener and scissors when we needed them. Hotel was clean and well kept. Air conditioner worked great too. The rooftop hangout area was also a nice addition. Would recommend staying here for the location & price! :)"
