"The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with useful appliances. The coffee selection was decent, and the shower was relaxing, even though the water pressure was a little unusual. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash also smelled great.
Unfortunately, the check-in experience was frustrating. When we arrived at 4 PM, there was a sign taped to the front desk stating that pets over 35 pounds were not allowed. However, the employee told us pets up to 50 pounds were permitted, which directly contradicted the sign. To make matters more confusing, the front door only states that pets are welcome upon request, with no mention of a weight limit.
I booked and prepaid through Hotels.com, and the listing I used did not mention any weight restriction. The employee even stated that they did not have a Hotels.com profile, which was surprising because I was able to show that the hotel actually has two Hotels.com listings and that I had booked through one of them.
After a discussion with the GM, our dog was approved “this one time,” but after a long day of travel it was stressful feeling like we might not have a room because of a policy that was not clearly communicated during booking.
Overall, the hotel was fine and the room met expectations, but management should make the pet policy consistent and clearly visible across all booking platforms."
