"Outside appearances can be deceptive, The Ngan Nga Bac Ha Hotel is welcoming and friendly. There is no lift, but staff carry your heavy luggage and walking a couple of flights of stairs is good for your health. Take time to sit outside and have a drink and watch the beauty of Vietnam unfold before you, chat to the friendly staff, they may struggle with some English, but super nice people. The manager is very helpful, assisting with problems that are not hotel related. Food was excellent."

"Wasn't expecting much due to mixed reviews but our experience was decent. Communication was tough (only a young lady spoke english). And if you booked through Expedia, it seems like someone is managing the bookings and did not inform the reception. Booked a 3 bed room but settled for a 2 bed room since they said 3 bed not avail.
