Great and interesting hotel

Very nice staff, great and interesting looking hotel, and good location. Only downside is the lack of airconditioning in the room on these hot summer days.

A unique boutique hotel with some much art on the walls you can't see the wall paper. Lots of nice three dimensional art, too. Only drawback is no elevator. A nice little cafe that serves brunch all day.

Nice boutique hotel in the historic center

This review would be different if the weather would have been hot. There is no air conditioning but only a fan. Otherwise it is a nice unique hotel with interesting decor. The receptionist was nice but there is some room for improvement of English skills. The location of the hotel is great with nice views of the main street. While there is traffic noise during the day, it gets quiet at night.

Amazing place!

The unique place full of antiquities in the middle of beautiful Banska Stiavnica. Cozy rooms, comfortable bed, amazing service and a la carte breakfast. Complimentary water, apples and chocolate!

Great Stay

Good value. Staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable. Very close to the town centre. Parking can be a nightmare in the town, hotel has reserved parking a short walk away.

Town - lovely, hotel - lovely, room - lovely. General communication - poor. On arrival, there was confusion as to whether we had booked breakfast (even though "free breakfast" is shown on Expedia website.) I deferred to the hotel and agreed that maybe we hadn't since no specific mention on my booking. Well, we had a welcome drink confirmed anyway. No, apparently they don't do this anymore. Nothing offered in return, just hard luck. Later that evening my husband went to turn on the kettle that the hotel had provided in our room and immediately all the electricity went off. He went to inform the hotel and was made to feel that it had to be his fault that this had happened. Three times he told them that he had merely turned on their kettle, nothing else, but each time was questioned further - could it have been something else he did? The next morning we went out for breakfast in a nearby cafe. On checking out we were asked if we had eaten breakfast at the hotel. I confirmed that we had gone elsewhere because we understood that it wasn't included. I was told that the hotel had realised the night before that it was indeed included - it would have been helpful if we had been told at that time. We were offered the chance to have it, but by then it was too late. We were also offered the chance to take some food away with us, but, again, we had to rush and were only able to take 2 croissants. This was, at least, appreciated. Lovely place, but poor customer service.

"Poklad" v Banskej Štaiavnici

Hotel má úžasnú atmosféru od vstupu do neho, cez izby až po fantastickú kaviareň. Všetko je originálne, personál neskutočne priateľský, ústretový, vo všetkom ochotný poradiť, pomôcť... Cestujem celý život po celom svete a až teraz som zistila, že asi najväčší poklad leží v srdci Slovenska - v Banskej Štiavnici - v hoteli Divná Pani Luxury Gallery Rooms. :)

Love love love

We loved staying at Divna Pani, our entree into Banska Stiavnica. The front of house were so friendly and helpful and made some recommendations fro eateries...we only wish we had stayed longer. One thing that I think would improve the rooms is having more space by the bedside and maybe offering more information on how to find the hotel if you arrive via the Slovak rail system and you don't speak Slovak. Banska Stiavnica railway station is a backwater and a long way from the actual hotel, there were no taxis and we ended up walking a long way into town lugging our heavy suitcases. Once there the bus drivers lead us on a wild goose chase, and hailing taxis was difficult.

היתרונות: המקום מדהים מלא תמונות וחפצי אומנות, החדר גדול עם כל האיבזור של מלון ברמה 5 כוכבים. חלוקים מוצרי טיפוח וכו. החסרונות: אין מעלית, ויש לא מעט מדרגות. החדר פונה לכביש ורעש לא מאפשר פתיחת חלון. אין מיזוג , בקיץ היום נורא. אין חניה נותנים לך תו חניה לחניה ברחוב במרחק כ 300 מטר בעליה תלולה. ארוחת הבוקר זו בדיחה במסעדה של המלון נותנים לך הקצבה של 10 יורו.כאשר מיץ עולה 3.9 קפה 2 ולחם עם חמאה וריבה 3. לסיכום מחיר גבוה ללא שום קשר לתמורה.

מלון עמוס ומקושקש

מלון מסוגנן ומגובב באלפי חפצים שאינם נותנים מנוח. הגירויים רבים מדי ואפילו מעייפים. אין מעלית, אין מזגן, ופתיחת חלון בלתי אפשרית בשל הרעשים מהרחוב הראשי. פקיד הקבלה היה מאד נעים והשתדל לעשות כמיטב יכולתו על מנת לעזור לנו. ארוחת הבוקר מותנית בסכום של עשרה יורו. כאשר בקשנו חלב לקפה הוסבר לנו שזה יעלה לנו בתוספת של כמה מטבעות, בקשה מגוחכת שאינה מוכרת לנו. בסך הכל ההתרשמות היא שרצו ליצור מלון עם קונספט ייחודי, אבל לא בדיוק הצליחו.
