Beautiful reasonably priced room right across from the beach. View out sliding door was stunning. Rooms are very small so might not recommend for couples if they plan to be in room much.

The room was very grungy and there was black mold in the sliding door track. They could do better for sure. Breakfast was Ok. Said they had granola,but it was granola bars. Won't stay there again.

A wonderful hotel with great ocean views from every room, patio, or deck. Ask for an upper room for the best views. Its nice to open the sliding door and hear the ocean. Views from each room is as good as it gets. Very clean room (119) clean hotel and clean property. We'll be returning.

Great location for Hearst Castle visit. Best Western has upgraded the older location and modernized bedrooms, reception area and fitness center. Fresh cooked breakfast! Need to continue with renovations. Add safety bars in shower.

This our 2nd time staying here parking easy, nice pool especially for kids since each end is 3 feet deep with center 5 feet and easy walk to the beach just a few more stairs than last time. Room is nice and large. Beds are softer than last time could replace them. TV channels not good either but this is not place to go watch TV. The breakfast is not so good pretty much a bagel and yogurt and cereal.

The path down to the beach was right across the street (be prepared for a lot of stairs) and the beach was wonderful and walkable. The staff was very kind and the hot tube was the perfect end to the day.

Great place to stay nice access to the beach but not for disabled folks it was all stairs where we were the room was nice and clean I do wish there were 4 pillows in the king bed suite not 3 makes things slightly uncomfortable for lounging in bed to watch tv the room was also nice and big but the tv was a bit small for them room from the bed at least overall though we will definitely come back and stay here again

Beautiful peaceful views of the legion beach from the windows of our room. Pet friendly. Took the dog for a run on the beach (it is a 6 storey climb down and back up to street level) but well worth it! Definitely recommend.

For the price, hard to beat. Million dollar views of the beach, free breakfast, friendly staff. Not updated or modern, but for $120 per night, location is an incredible value.

Bed is very comfy although it could use more pillows. View is outstanding, love being able to open the balcony door and let in the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze. We love coming here every year.

This property has a beautiful view and is quiet and friendly, though we were there in the off-season. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves, the breakfasts were diverse and although I am GF, there were lots of options. We went with a more expensive room for an even better view and more space. I would only recommend the hotel upgrade a few things such as adding the larger toilet seat, a less worn couch, maybe a newer TV. These did not diminish the helpful staff and great coastal location and ambiance. We'll be back!

Expedia never added the resort fee to my bill so it never got paid to the hotel, so the hotel tried to charge me the resort fee upon arrival. Expedia credited me the amount but it was a hassle checking in after I paid in full. Took an hour and was a pain for me and the hotel clerk who had guests he was tryin to check in.
