The hotel owner was a pleasant person who came to talk with us, gave us tips on where to travel, and asked for our suggestions on how to improve the hospitality. "Excellent hotel. Accommodated for our group of nine to the highest standard. The hotel was exactly what we wanted and is represented extremely well by the pictures. Most importantly, the staff were incredible in making sure we had everything we needed and handled our group with so much respect. "The welcome at the hotel was outstanding, being welcomed back as friends, as one of their family along with the food quality, makes staying at the Alexandros a genuine and authentic Greek experience. The cleanliness of the hotel, the rooms and communal areas is outstanding. Pool is lovely and never an issue in getting a sun bed, there was always plenty spare.The family (Maria, Paul and Litsa) work incredibly hard to run a lovely, authentic Greek family run hotel, but is there heart and soul that they put into your care, that really shines through."

"It is an excellent sea facing property, Greek style property with pool. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. Housekeeper Violetta visits everyday to make sure it stays nice and clean. Reception lady-Elisabete was very helpful and gave very good suggestions for beaches and activities. Anthi, the owner is very kind and gentle and responded promptly to all my queries. We had an amazing time and definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting this part of crete. There are 3 beaches nearby and a lively market street with bakeries and tavernas and restaurants. Malia is 10 mins drive with nice sandy beach and water sports but the waves at Sissi beach were the best in Crete."

"Very nice hotel. Pleasant and very helpful staff. Food was very good and service in the restaurant was very good too. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms and it was very comfortable with a large corner balcony accessible from both rooms. Rooms well cleaned daily. Although a minor issue was that we had a coffee pod machine which I thought was a bonus, but the two pods supplied, surprisingly weren't replenished. First world problems, eh!! We would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay there again. Pool was great, quite large - we didn't use the second smaller pool, but it looked very nice and peaceful. "

"Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location, But Some Details Let It Down We recently stayed at Castello Boutique Suites in Sissi, Crete to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, we had a very good holiday. The hotel made a wonderful gesture by upgrading us to a larger suite with a private side pool, which felt so special and really set the tone for our stay. The suite itself was stylish and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent every morning, and the staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk from the charming port of Sissi, with plenty of tavernas and shops nearby. That said, as this is marketed as a five-star hotel, we were a little disappointed by some details. Positives: – Thoughtful anniversary upgrade to a suite with private pool. – Beautiful, modern, and spacious room. – Fantastic location (2 minutes from Sissi port). – Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and quality. – Friendly, professional, and welcoming staff. – Relaxed, peaceful atmosphere throughout. Negatives: – Private pool jets and lights didn’t work; nothing was fixed during our stay. – Pool needed topping up and sides had algae. – No towel hooks in the bathroom; “do not disturb” system broken. – Daily housekeeping, but balcony wasn’t cleaned in 8 nights. – Cups and glasses not refreshed — had to wash them ourselves. No blinds/curtains: poolside window let in sun at 5am, back window was lit at night, affecting sleep and"
