"Setting is lovely but quiet. Need to drive some 7 miles for foods . Owner very personable and informative. Perhaps cafe was open on our arrival day, it might be easier. Overall we had a nice stay."

"A very nice place on the outskirts of Aviemore, so accessible to the national park. One of the mattresses was a bit hard and there was a lumpy pillow which we swapped around. The room was a bit hot for us without any heating on, so must have been well insulated. It was a little unusual having the toilet and shower downstairs, but was very well thought out and comfortable with sitting chairs and a 3rd bed. "

"Cuil-an-Daraich was absolutely wonderful! This place is beautiful, with views, wonderful room, nice living area to enjoy, and excellent breakfasts. Hosts James and Lisa were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and just a joy to chat with. This was such a peaceful country setting, with such a beautiful area to explore surrounding it. We would definitely recommend it, and would stay here again. Thank you again James & Lisa!"

"Convenient and easy to get to. Clean and spacious room. We stayed in 11 which was so close to the car park and only had a few steps. Comfortable room, hot showers, nice big bed, delicious breakfast - try the whiskey porridge! We ate all our lunches and diners at The Auld Smiddy Inn and wish we couldn’t stayed longer!"

"Ardvane B&B is an excellent, affordable guest house and a great value. Just 3 blocks form Atholl street, Pitlochry’s main road, there is no road traffic noise and the view of the village rooftops and distant mountains from the breakfast room is beautiful. The service of manager Cor exceeds even his wonderful cooked breakfasts. Coffee, juices, and snacks are available all day. Everything is clean and up to date. We stayed 12 days and recommend Ardvane without reservation!"
