Quite close to the I-5, so you get a lot of freeway noise. However, you can't beat the price and the hotel, though dated, seems well cared for. The breakfast choices are minimal, but there is a Starbucks next door, as well as electric vehicle chargers.

Liked friendly and efficient desk person. The room has a bit of a motel-esk odor and is located on Hwy 5 for travelers. Not a neighborhood I'd want to spend days at but perfect for a road-trip stop.

You will notice upon arrival that the property is run down. The front door was dirty and it only got worse from there. Floors so dirty my husband went and asked for a broom and dust pan along with Lysol and cleaning clothes. They offered to move us to another room, but he said I don’t expect another room will be any better. The sink would fill upon normal use then slowly drain. The toilet stopped up. The sheets and bedding were old. Cob webs on the ceiling, bugs in the light fixtures, heavy dirt in corners of bathroom. Killed several silverfish. When the AC came on it smelled up the room as if the filter had never been changed. The refrigerator froze our food so we had to throw a lot of it away. All I can say was the beds were not to hard. Traveler beware!

I liked that they had a 2 bedroom suite option. Although, the bathrooms needed renovation since the faucets leaked and the cabinets were falling apart. Also the tv channels were all static. Overall it was a clean room and property.

Clean room, friendly staff, some snacks in morning and decent coffee, worth it. I pulled back the sheets to check the bed it was perfectly white looks like new mattress.

A great bonus was that this is the only hotel with any type of breakfast off this exit! I also liked how convenient this location was it’s right next to the 5.

Property is conveniently located to the freeway, and to what there is in the town of Buttonwillow. Very reasonably priced. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz Carlton, so I wasn’t disappointed. I will be staying there again.

Great Value!
Overall for the price, it's a great deal, The room was clean and everything worked, but the condition of the room was a little run down and in need of some minor repair or upgrade. Everything worked, but was obviously old.

Some of the rooms here are completely fine, but others are really in need of attention and repairs. The tv was especially bad, and almost impossible to view. Also bad- and I have noticed this in several rooms- the toilet seats need replacing! And the facial tissue holders are empty. Seeing the worn and damaged seats, and the empty tissue holders makes the property look uninviting and poorly maintained. This place is a bargain for the price, and the staff is very friendly and kind.

Very good value for the money. Staff is notably pleasant and welcoming. Nice, simple continental breakfast offerings. Close to freeway, yet quiet. I have stayed several times and consistently good experiences.

Wish it was better.
Stayed here whule traveling down the 5 freeway. Positives: convenient location, friendly desk workers, breakfast offerings (coffee, English muffins, bagels, yogurt, cereal), hot water & good pressure in the shower, new towels. Negatives: scratchy sheets & a weird smell in the bed, condition of the room (broken tiles, taped up tv remote, scratched furniture, cracked bathtub).

Not a safe place
Saw recommendations on line that this was a good, safe place to stay. Was totally disappointed! Did not feel safe at all! Would have left but had been driving all day needed to stop. Bathroom was dirty. One of the rooms window was replaced by cardboard. Barricaded ourselves in the room. Do not recommend.

Too many flies everywhere swarms of them and dirty
The service was nice they were very welcoming they supposedly remodeled but the rooms were nasty dirty flies were everywhere inside and out the hotel like attack of the flies that's towels did not spell cleaned and then have hardly any towels in the bathroom I was really too big ones and one floor towel there was flies in the ceiling there was flies the window inside the hotel was swarms of flies it was disgusting I was very uncomfortable.

A cheesy motel for a cheap price. The tub was flaking off on the bottom and I had to shower with the bath mat in the tub and my socks on.... Too many issues to mention. The bed was nice. I was lucky enough to be traveling with my own pillows since the ones provided were sub par. The entry key only worked 1 time out of 3 times and the cleaning staff had to let me in... safe? maybe not. I could have... Oh well. I got a good night's rest but will never return.

We probably should have just slept in the car....
We stayed the night on our roadtrip up the coast. This was by far the dirtiest hotels we've stayed at thus far. The lady who checked us in was nice but thats about the highlight. The room was pretty gross and in disrepair. The floor left our feet dirty and the shower/sink were so dirty we didn't use it. Plus the room smelt really weird. The only redeeming factor is the sheets we're clean when checked with a flashlight. So i guess thats good. The breakfast was very disappointing. Not a buffet like we saw in other pictures. The room smelt really gross so we didnt trust eating anything. Pool was shut down a couple months ago and for good reason. Looks like its been abandoned for years. The only time we told somewhere where we were staying the night just to be safe. We probably should have just slept in the car

This property to continue undergoing renovations being safe and well-managed. For the price - it is my favorite place to stay in Buttonwillow with the great Indian Restaurant next door.
