"I was nervous about staying here as I’d read (after booking) a couple of reviews (here & on Google) saying, “don’t stay here as a woman alone”, “this area is unsafe” etc. However, these reviews proved to be unfounded for me. Yes, the street isn’t particularly well-lit, yes, it is a quiet road with taxis at the end. However, I didn’t feel unsafe walking here in the dark at all. Most people on the road were customers of this hotel or the one next door. Moving on to the actual hotel, I was really impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I arrived 2 hours early, intending to just drop my suitcase in reception. But the staff on reception informed me my room was ready and checked me in! I was really impressed by this. The room was cosy, a great temperature and I appreciated both the blackout curtains and the shutters outside the window; making for a great nights’ sleep. I appreciated the Rituals products in the bathroom - made the stay feel more luxurious! Unlike other hotels I’ve visited in Germany, these pillows were a good firmness, and not too soft ooo. The hotel is quiet and although I knew the rooms around me were occupied, I could not hear anyone unless they were on the corridor. The hotel is very well-located and connected, within 5 minutes’ walk of Hbf, which made getting around the city very straightforward. I liked the character of the hotel, and the free water provided behind the bar is much appreciated. I would certainly recommend."

"The room was very strange where the shower was in the open and not joined up as a separate room or separate closed section to the beds itself. We had booked a triple room and felt very strange not having private space to shower so be careful on room selection as this was not shown in the picture."
